It's bedtime for Pollux + Maxxie. Over time, my dogs have settled into the sweetest dog night routine. These sleepy dogs get their favorite dog snacks then my dog gets tucked into bed. Plus you can see the calming bed that we have for both Pollux and Maxxie. They adore their calming pet bed and sleep like babies every night. Sweet dreams!

My Dearest Renee I have been watching your videos from the day you adopted Pollux until now. I am addicted to your videos of Pollux and Maxxie! I am a Big Time Animal Lover, and in particular of dogs. I must tell you that I cant help myself by being emotional but this good night video of Maxxie and especially Pollux and his snuggling with you and the Love that you can see in his eyes for you brought happy tears running down my face! The Love that I felt from him to you and then Randy giving gentle petting on Pollux, it all just got to me emotionally! The transition in Pollux from the shelter to now is just amazing and you did it with your patience and Love that you had for him! Thank You So Much for being Pollux's Guardian Angel! I've had my rescue for 2 1/2 years, and he is still learning trust. Poor baby, someone really did a number on him. But he has done 2 180's since he came here. I adore him.

Dogs are wonderful beings I learn from my boys everyday they live in the moment in time every second of everyday, yesterday doesn't matter and tomorrow doesn't either and memories of living in a shelter is long forgotten as well....

Pollux's stare of " love " as you were petting him was just adorable. He obviously trust and loves you ❤ and Randy seems to be slowly winning his trust. I shudder to think what a male must have done to him while he was in the shelter that he does not trust males. But, Pollux and Max have won the Lotto in parents.

My theory: the workers in the shelter where Pollux lived were primarily male. They wore tall boots and most of them hats too. I think he feared them because anytime they opened his crate, the sole purpose was to move him or do something to him. It's taken 8 months for Pollux to get comfortable around Randy and seek his attention. He still has a long way to go but is slowly getting better. At night, Pollux will approach Randy on the couch and want rubs. And in bed, Pollux will intentionally paw at Randy for attention. Sometimes he will even lay his head on Randy. It's so sweet ❤️

Where do you live? Rather than a shelter, you might research a Rescue. I volunteer at a Rabbit Rescue and it’s open during COVID. In fact, their adoption rate is up.

Hi! What's amazing is in the RU-vid today you see Pollux and his tail is up he has a stunning big arcing tail and I had no idea he had that. Love your videos. This one was SOOO precious. We have 2 huskies and also have a nighttime ritual that involves treats on the bed. Pollux has such a Husky tail. The Maxxie burrito was so darn adorable. Thank you for these snippets of your life. You are a natural with these videos and always do something interesting but even something as mundane as going to bed , you had me captured watching til the end. The way Pollux looks at you with those deep soulful brown eyes. The rescues show their gratitude and love. His tapping you for more pets was so sweet.

You could try putting some Peanut butter on the outside lower part of the dog door...or cheese wiz. When he licks it he will push the door in, and hopefully further and further in until he accidentally steps through with his front foot or feet and that way kind of coax him through maybe.

@@WELCOMETOMYCURLS My cat will sit in front of me if I'm sitting on the couch and just stare. Or sometimes he'll meow from the hallway. It's his signal that it's time to go to my bed for cuddle time before going to sleep. Only problem is he sleeps horizontal on the bed and stretches out his paw and his tail to be as long as possibly can be. And he's only 8 pounds! I wake up in the middle of the night and I'm almost falling out of bed as he's taking up more than his half of the bed!

Pets love routine ,it gives them stability. If something changes they have to adjust again. I just love your garden. If I were a pooch I could live outside in that yard. The magic word is "treats", they suddenly showed up.😊 So sweet the way Randy tucks Maxxie in his snuggly bed. Pollux wants to make sure his parents are tucked in first before he goes to sleep.

Renee, Pollux is def your dog, while Maxi gravitates toward your Hubby. Our inside kitty is her Daddy's side-kick, but comes to me when sick. Three ourside cats others abandoned..the male is my cat and 1 female mund of, but the other is soley Daddy's kitty. I think a man was responsible for the basic care of the pound dogs. I also think he wore a hat and boots, and thus, Pollux hates that. I could be completely wrong. Thanks so much for allowing us to watch the love you give to Pollux and Maxi.

We have had Schnauzers all our lives until we got our rescue dog. He is blonde, not sure what he is but he is the sweetest thing. He is getting old now like us. I am 75 and now I am letting my light colored hair grow out to it's natural color... white. I started when we couldn't get out to the salon. You were a big influence. I have naturally curly hair also. I have enjoyed your videos so much. Love the hair growing out ones, the purple shampoo ones, and all the rest. Maxie is so precious and love Pollux. I am from Kentucky also, Lousville.

So precious! I love the burrito tuck for Maxxie! Tell Randy not to brush his teeth so hard, his gums are going to recede! Lol! I also love when Randy was getting ready to go to bed and you said you were going to have to edit! And Pollux crawling under the bed! Who am I kidding , I loved it all! Sweet dreams to you all!

LOL it's funny the you noticed Randy brushing his teeth. His routine is to pace around the bedroom while brushing his teeth. Drives me nuts! Why not just stay in the bathroom?? But that's what he does LOL
