i visited an akita breeding farm yesterday and was shocked by how humongous they are. but of course, they are extremely friendly and their puppies look like baby pandas. one of the names were "Bear" and i thought that was sooo cute because he looked like a bear as well. our family originally wanted an Akita, but since we live in san francisco where the city is so cramped, we decided not to. judging from the size of the akita, they seem really intimidating but inside, they are smart loyal loving protective dogs.
Extremely friendly- I’m not sure about that. They’re not golden retrievers. Affectionate to their owners yes but to outsiders they are some of the most frightening dog breeds out there. Strangers- including friends and family of the owner would’ve needed to have bonded with them since puppyhood, otherwise they turn into a rabid beast to any outsiders. I’ve been bit by my cousin’s Akita
El Dogo todavía no llegó al punto máximo de desarrollo de la adultez. Además, se ve que desde un inicio el Dogo quiso jugar en vez de pelear. Si quisieran haber peleado desde un inicio ya se hubieran mostrado los dientes
We had a Akita and she was a great dog . If they are raised with other Akita’s they don’t tend to bark much , but when they do pay attention. They also hunt like the Lion. They crouch down and then take off after their prey with no barking ours was suppose to be the runt of the litter but she wound up being 130 pounds of a mean dog if provoked. In the area where we lived people loved their pit bulls and she had a few fights with them because the owners of the pit bulls thought their dog was the top dog. Unfortunately they found out the hard way when they screamed for our Akita to stop mauling their pits
@@adviksandhu1943 I am sure it depends on the Akita and depends on the pitbull. My pitbull is about 80 pounds and he would fight either one of the dogs in this video just for fun. He loves to fight. It's hard to walk a dog like that that's so heavy and strong.
@@GLMBook Well I hope your pup does not hurt anyone. Other than that make sure to have loads of exercise with your Pitbull I think that should calm down the aggressive behavior a little. Hope this helps and you don't have to increase the exercise by a lot just make sure you give an extra hour or so it should help.
@@adviksandhu1943 yep as an Akita owner the only dogs that can contend with them in raw strength is a kengal or mastiff they don't even see dogs as threats most of the time just a little annoying lol they were bred for bear hunting while pits were bred for dog fighting see that should tell you all u need to know on who would win lol my boys manhandled my friends German shepherd n pit like it was playing with puppies 😂
@@timsmith2279 wdym proof do you think an akita is a game dog lmfao dogos are bred to hunt pumas and boars and they still are one of the most popular fighting dog in other countries {I don't condone dog fighting] if you were to put an akita up against a dogo, tosa, boerbel big bulldogs and pits kangals or any other game dog it would get torn apart not to mention the fact it has like a top 3 bite force of all dogs
@@josephliwanag4933 they were bred to hunt bears just like ridgebacks were bred to hunt lions but they arent working dogs anymore im not some akita hater lol dogos are used by the 1000s to hunt boars and mountain lions in texas and cali
The dogo is banned in my country but look how happy and friendly he looks. I absolutely love American Akitas. I call them bear dogs. I want one so bad.
I have an American Akita. It will kill anything that’s not family. Human family that is, can’t have no other pets. It’s like having a 1000 hp car with no seat belt and bad breaks. Only makes since to have an American Akita if you live in country or have total control. It will hurt kill something or someone if you treat this dog like a regular dog. Oh yea don’t lit the poker face fool you, just because they are quit doesn’t mean they are cool. They are not the growing snarling type dog. They kill like leopards, quite and for sport.
It may! be play... but it also could be reverse as well.. very excited, dominant breeds, wagging tails never means their happy or excited it can also mean their going to bite.. it could start off as play until one started to become dominant more like the Akita would and then a fight would eventually break out. Their super excited, their energy is a little to high. Beautiful dogs!!!! 💕
I have an American Akita, she is awesome 🤩 amazing highly intelligent Amara is 2years old now. Beautiful,Beautiful inside and out. Always protecting our house, she barks and ends with a howl.
My Dogo would say, NO! Papa that's a boy dog, can I tear it up? My Dogo is trained by hand signals as he was deaf by the time he was two. Hard of hearing when he was a pup, Hearing problems, no problem. All he needs is his nose, eyes, and vibration. A Puma couldn't sneak up on him on its best day.
The most dangerous part is when youre walking youre akita and everybody wants to touch the Akita because they think it looks pretty and then it must be no danger i guess??? People dont know how dangerous they are! How strong and aggresive they can be, in a blink of the eye! They snap!!!
@@MannyMulattoPlays If you are getting a pup, take her around people as soon as possible. Get her used to being touched and petted when she is still small enough to easily handle. That's the one thing I regret about my Akita, I didn't do that when he was young. He's not vicious or anything, but he is too unpredictable to let people pet him. Other than that, the training starts from day one. Once you bond, they will not hurt you, even though they will test you. Amazing breed. Wish I was young enough to train another one down the road and correct my mistake with this one. Firm, loving hand is needed with them.
@@m.d.d.3051 Certainly the only reason I considered an Akita is because I work part time so I have the time to dedicate to her training. I feel like a lot of a the "bad" Akitas were simply left alone too long and their owners simply don't have the time. I took a break from normal sit and stay training to teach her boundaries and to stop when told to because she started play biting and playing tug of war with everything.
Akita is just playing, he know dogo is a pup! When they both are adults you cant do this anymore otherwise it would get very very ugly with these 2 monsters!
Akita’s are calculated patient dogs and no fuss. hanging off your leg starving attention like pits I’ve had 3 Akita’s and no loyaler dog. Watch “ haichi a dogs tale with Richard here it’s about the famous story of the Akita at the train station your not human if ya not in tears all Akita’s have massive levels of pride loyal love and playful ness with kids. .
All the Akitas seems extremely confident. Pick any animal, Root, Pit, Dogo, Bull, Lion, Tiger, put them in front of an Akita and you will see the same reaction, they always act like a true warrior, like they give a shit what's there no matter how dangerous could be that beast
@@rontecold7613 bro cmon dogo is more agile, has a higher biteforce, has higher pain tolerance, is way more game, much more stamina and much more powerfuller. Theres a reason dogos get used to hunt 400lbs+ hogs and akitas are personall protectors. If u have been around both breeds u know a dogo argentino would kill any akita with 0 problems.
@@topacybits3576 any time someone starts talking “bite force” I know they’re just blabbering. Bite force is unscientific and it all depends on the dog. Also, - Akitas hunted Yezo Bears. Either alone or in packs of two. Soooo. Haha.
@@richp860 u know that even if u put 15 akitas against 1 bear they will all die. I know a site were u can watch dog fights, and lett me tell u the akita is even in top 10 breeds when it comes to dog fighting. Akitas are an easy kill for breeds like a dogo, presa, kangal
Very interesting the Akita clearly the dominant one in that situation. Very submissive and friendly behavior by the Dogo, licking the Akita and exposing his belly to him. All dogs are different, but all the American Akitas I've seen always seem to be cool, calm, collected and it's always the other dog that submits to them first regardless of breed. Two beautiful dogs, but there is almost something majestic about Akitas.
That dogo is a pup ! Akita is older but I believe dogo one of the few dogs that can keep up with Akita lowkey I own a Akita but man a dogo is another level 😮 in my opinion 😊
Because akita is older than dogo so he tries to dominate dogo. Also this is Pablo Which belongs to recep bayraktar but now this dogo 2 and half years old and he is very dominate. You can watch video of this dogo from recep's youtube channel
Larry WoB hahaha u r True my bro 😂 never underestimate a Dogo, I have one, they look friendly und behave like that but they r firecrackers 😂 then know when the game starts
In some ski resorts and hot springs in Japan, they have these beautiful dogs outside to greet visitors. I guess they can be friendly to strangers. It just depends on the dog.
@@dixienormous9845 i been into the breed since early 2000's, hunted with some of the best dogeros from argentina ,hunted hogs and pumas in rio negro/la pampa Argentina,i own a 3 year old dogo ...There is nothing u can teach me or tell me about the breed..one thing is dogos getting along in the hunt and another thing is putting a grown dogo outside the hunting field next to a another male dog..i can guarantee u it wont end up well for ur furry husky ..u see when u dont know wtf ur talking about is always best to just stfu...my humble two cents ✌
American Akitas are muscular, powerful, and smart enough to fight. My akita "avoids" dog fights, somehow I think he knows how powerful he is and could destroy a dog instantly.
There was no " Attack." There was a very young ( 1 year - 14 months tops ) Dogo wanting to initiate play that a mature Akita had no interest in. The Akita was seeking to assert dominance. Read there response. If they're both not on the same page. Keep them apart. That was a spectacular Akita in it's prime. It would not have ended well for the Dogo pup. A couple more years, different story. I don't know why people put their dogs in a position to get mauled.
That dogo is a pup. A full grown dogo would kill that Akita. I hate dog fighting but dogos are too much for Akita’s. Dog was built to be a hunting fighting machine. Seen videos of them on Russian websites (fucking hate dog fighting just fact checking) and depending on the dog dogos beat kangals, alabais, caucasion shepherd all the time. And vise versa. Like humans depends on the dog and how healthy they are etc. the dogo has stamina, strength, and bite force over Akita.. it’s a fact. Both badass dogs that could hurt u or kill you
Not all dogos are the fighting or aggressive type. Each dog is different. The dogo just wants to play and the other dog is showing he's the alpha look at their tales and you can see
Dogo aint impressed by the akita thats all . My parents had 2 dogo argentinos from great lines most of the time when they get agressive was due being pushed to the point they get angry or when other dogs where showing dominant signals . Those dogos dont need to act tough they react and fight when needed .
Lou Deville Extremely hard to tell from that comment. I own 2 my dad has 4 and never once could I agree with u & the 2 other ppl that comment on you not having a clue
Non neutered male Akitas are extremely loyal and can be very dominant not for the novice dog handler. They are brave very intelligent and have a high pain threshold I observed that when he gets into his wrestling play fighting mode, they use there paws alot and stand on there hind legs which makes them appear massive and as the upper body is coming down it will use the momentum to go in for its bite and pin its opponent down with its massive front paws. I trained my non fixed male all white Akita it was a solo dog but raised him alongside my 2 older ferrets and even when it was time for my Akita to eat its dinner I would have him sit and wait and as the ferrets are climbing out of its 2 leveled cage and heading towards my Akitas food bowl he would sit patiently and watch as my 2 ferrets helped themselves to his food and water and when they finished he would know to go eat and drink. One of the best breeds I've ever owned
The akita is an old fighting breed that lost out to the bulldog breeds many years ago , bulldog breeds are the breeds you go to fo the best fighters just like you would go to greyhounds for speed
No akita beating dogo argentino's😂. Dogo is in the same league as tosa inu and the akita is not. Dogo argentino is top 3 or 4 best fighting dogs and akita is not in top 10. Also people cal dogo argentino bulldog but its not a bulldog but a mastif.
Biri belden bağlı güçlü çekilir diğeri boyundan bağlı boğulur hırçınlaşır belden bağlama ile gezdirmek gerek yoksa tutarken zorlanılır boğulur düşünmek gerek
Carlo Brigante he may be a puppy in his mind but he's never going to get bigger than that Akita never he's out sized and the Akita in the video maybe a puppy see they grow even bigger then the Dogo my akita male is bigger than that don't go and he'll be a year next month so the Akita may not be full grown Akitas take two and a half to three years to reach full adulthood dogos 15 months to 2 years so in that regard it really don't matter to me
Antoine Womack 🤣🤣 aren't you full of yourself 🤦♂️.. u clearly know absolutely nothing about the dogo .. let alone dog fighting..just stop it man .. enjoy ur oversized k9s for what they r are and stay away from dogos 😂
Dogo is a puppy... Akita not so much.... And this is how to make dogs be dog-aggressive. Keep pulling them back from every interaction so that they become territorial. When they stopped pulling on the Dogo he rolled over to "offer" the Akita his belly. That's when you know you own are friends with your dog
You know why Akitas one of the best fighters? Because just like a Tiger, the Akita use their two front paws... If you noticed most other dogs just use their muzzle only, Akitas use their muzzle and their paws to attack.
@@theoneandonly668 that is the biggest mistake what people think of akita if you have both breed males you would see what happens.u can not forget american akita is breeded with japanese mastiff tosa and they are so powerfull and agile but they dont use quickness when they do need to they can hunt a bird and run nearly 40 miles per hour, so think before u say something please, dogo is long time fighters but if akita grabbed dogo in the nack i think game is finished, and i have seen a video fights akita and dogo nearly 10 minutes both dogs were extremly tired
@@tomaszlaski3039 a game tested 60lb American pitbull terrier will make an America Akita cry for help….. A dogo wins 9 times out of 10 and a pitbull wins 10 times out of 10. Have you ever been around the dog fighting culture???
@@theoneandonly668 i completely disagree with You , pitbulls are pain resistance but when akita grab the pitbull, pitbull gonna die can not even move and you saying that akita loose 9 of 10 fights, they still use akitas in ilegal fights in japan , remember that they have a tosa japanese mastiff blood aswell ,i have watched a video my friend from japan showed me how akita male demolished dogo and u saying pitbull gonna beat akita 9 of 10, I can agree that is gonna be good fight dogo against akita but akita wins 9 of 10 times with pitbull. tosa mastiff is probably one of the best fighting dog i have ever seen in my life, dogo and cane corso too, in this case depends of dog. pitbulls have no chance against akita , dogo , corso , kangal, tosa , boraboel. why you say around 30 kg dogs can beat around 60 kg dog because a lot of stamina etc it is one of the biggest bullshit i have ever heard !!! all people who has had dogo and akita they can easily admit pitbulls have no any chance with them. it is the same like boxing fight mike tyson against manny paqcuiao. @@tomaszlaski3039 you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, I guarantee you have never been around dog fighting. You only watch videos on the internet…. You’re saying American pitbulls, which have over 140 years of breeding for pit fighting would lose to bloated Mastiffs like cane corso’s… most mastiffs are man stoppers they aren’t pit fighters. There’s a reason why they are the chosen breed for dog fighting they can fight for hours, unless a mastiff can get very lucky and kill the pit early the mastiff is done for. The “pitbulls” you’re watching on the internet are either mutts or not game they are curs. If I had a 100kg mastiff I would never throw it in the pit with a game tested 25kg pitbull because if the pit is truly game I know what they are like and how they fight, they go from under the larger dog and rip it up to shreds. You honestly have no idea. I know because you just mentioned a boerboel.. these are the worst dog fighting dogs.. they are about 80kg and have the organs of a 40kg dog, literally a fat bloated bulldog they have no lungs at all. Lmao please go speak to some dog men don’t act like you know anything
