It must have been a "ruff" morning for a duo of dogs in Lakeville, Minnesota that called 911 more than a dozen times while their owners were gone, prompting police to respond to their home.
I think that assumption comes from the dogs reaction of being able to identify a human voice. Maybe the first time was an accident, but the second time was like "If there is a human answering me, I want her to know that I need her". I've rescued many cats from strange places and as soon as they hear a human voice calling them, they answer back with a meow (I didn't use a phone, but that's why I think that the assumption comes from that simple reaction).
It’s always the little ones.😂😂😂 Funny the same concept goes for my three nephews. It’s the youngest one who gets into trouble and brings his older brothers down with him.😂
Not funny I hate it. Owners should have been arrested wasting precious time when someone who might needed to be saved couldn’t get saved because dogs were wasting their times. Those owners were reckless and disgusting for allowing their pets access to the device
@@Mynipplesmychoice Bro, sometimes shit happens thats nobody's fault. It usually is just shitty but sometimes they can also be funny. Appreciate those rare ones...
@@Mynipplesmychoicethere are many police officers for every call and the officers that had checked the home were the ones who go to hung up calls. most people don’t hang up unless they are in danger. The owners do not control the dogs. they do what they want. if you have a pet and it calls the police would you want to get arrested? NO so stop being a dumbass
“Not funny I hate it.” You must be fun at parties. Do you even have any friends? The owner wasn’t even home. The dogs, being dogs, gained access to the phone and hit it, dialing 911. There is rarely an event where your 911 call cannot be answered, and I doubt it happened that dayS
My daughter dialled the emergency number once - decades ago now - I had my back to her while I was washing and drying the dishes. I could hear her and I was thinking how cute it was that she was chattering away to her toys like they were real. After a few minutes I turned to look and saw her on the phone. I spoke to the policeman who was having a bit of a laugh about it. I told him she had seen an add about dialling 000 and she thought it was like a chat line or something. He laughed and said he’d let them know they weren’t reaching their target audience.
I did a similar thing with my family's landline when I was very young but wasn't much of a talker so I just hung up. Multiple times. My parents were less than impressed when they found out.
Great job by the dispatcher and the police officers, responding to the call. Just remember that some SERVICE DOGS are trained to call 911 (usually it's a dedicated cell phone on their person and preset to 911, the dog just pushes in the screen.) if their person is down and unresponsive.
That was so cute when the operator answered and the dog barked in response, then later on you can hear both doggies barking. If only we could understand dog talk! This was naughty of them but cute at the same time, you can’t get mad at them. Even their human had to pretend to be “stern” for the camera by telling them to sit.😂
It's nice to know that the police check on the calls from the dogs. Never know it could have been something wrong at the house. Thank God it wasn't, God bless you two.for checking on the calls,
Oh gosh I’m rolling laughing so hard. I love how the dogs responded when the operator asked what their emergency was. When the dogs were questioned, they pleaded the fifth.😂😂🤣🤣🤣
THIS was hysterical! I love the way they actually answered the question by the 911 operator! Can't tell me they didn't know what they were doing since they called SIXTEEN times!
I hate it. Owners should have been arrested wasting precious time when someone who might needed to be saved couldn’t get saved because dogs were wasting their times. Those owners were reckless and disgusting for allowing their pets access to the device
This is so cute and funny. The big dog was looking at the Interviewer like he was being interrogated and pacing the floor because he knew he was in the doghouse. 😂🤣
Not cute and funny whatsoever I hate it. Owners should have been arrested wasting precious time when someone who might needed to be saved couldn’t get saved because dogs were wasting their times. Those owners were reckless and disgusting for allowing their pets access to the device
@@Mynipplesmychoice Arrested for what exactly? The phone was in the owners office and how was he supposed to know these little trouble makers got a hold of the phone while he was out and pressed 911 or kept calling 911? There has been so much violence and bad news, so a little humor will not hurt. I am thankful that the owner was okay, the 2 police officers were able to have a little joy from a stressful job and the two brats felt real guilty. I am pretty sure the owner will make sure the phones can't be reached by them anymore.
When I worked at a doggie daycare, we once had an officer show up to check out a 911 call that only had dogs barking in the background. When everything seemed to be fine, he got some quotes for getting his dogs groomed. We never figured out who’d made the call, but I never considered that it could have been one of the dogs.
@@sslaytor the officer didn’t seemed too concerned about where the call came from, which I found a little strange. We did have a theory that he was just making an excuse to price out dog grooming while on the clock. Maybe he had a canine accomplice on the inside?
I like how the dog refused an interview with the reporter without having the dogs lawyer present. The dog not only had the presence of mind to call the cops, the pooch knew when to keep his mouth shut while there was also cameras rolling. You don't want to say anything incriminating...smart dog😜🤪😛
Dogs can be trained to call 911. Every call should be taken seriously, but I’m glad in this situation that there wasn’t an emergency but the dogs could make some officers laugh.
I know this is old, but what a time to discover it. I love these Officers and I hope they're still doing well. I also love the dogs. Accident the first time, but resulted in a sympathetic human voice. So they kept doing it. Sounds like well-loved house pets who crave human attention to me. Utterly heartwarming.
Well, it was an emergency, indeed, they had to get petted. Parents weren’t home and they got lonely, they needed some love, that’s certainly an emergency.
I am one of those people that hates how people call 911 for no reason (and not enough for good reasons), but I nearly died laughing at the 911 calls of these dogs. I just can't with the "Ruff" and "Yip". I wonder what the 911 dispatch was thinking. The officers were hilarious and fantastic.
Boy did I have a good laugh at this story. Thank you officers for your doggone great service to their community. Thanks for your sense of humor in this too🐶😊
POEM ABOUT THIS: Two dogs were feeling bored and lonely They had no humans to play with, only A phone that they found on the floor They decided to have some fun and explore They pressed the buttons with their paws And heard some voices and some beeps They thought it was a game of sorts And kept on calling as they leaped They called 911 sixteen times in half an hour The police were puzzled by this strange behavior They traced the location and rushed to the scene They knocked on the door and hoped it wasn't mean They opened the door and saw two dogs wagging their tails One big and one small, both looking very frail They asked them why they called so many times The dogs replied with barks and whines They said they were home alone and wanted some attention They didn't mean to cause any trouble or tension They just wanted someone to talk to and to pet them They hoped the police would understand and not condemn The police were amused by this canine confession They gave them some treats and some affection They told them not to call 911 again unless it was an emergency They said goodbye and left them in their cozy homey agency
I admire how the cops responded to a 911 call and just hearing the dog barks...bcoz we can never tell those dogs are trained as well to dial 911 in case of emergency at home... Kudos to the cops who responded❤❤❤
Martha, count your blessings. Really, like write them down. Got a nice bed to sleep in? That should go on the list. Got food in the fridge? Check. Got a phone? A car? Clothes? Shoes? Can you hear birds singing? Can you see? Taste? Talk? We usually have so many good things going on that we forget to acknowledge them. Something bad happens, we worry, we’re angry or sad or afraid… If you dwell on that stuff, yeah, you’ll live in depression. If you dwell on good things, you’ll live in happiness. Learn to shift your thinking from the bad to the good, and practicing that will change your life. This is backed by a lot of science, but YOU have to do it until it becomes a habit. Best wishes, Martha!
Now that is a fine example of serving your community! 👏🏼🤣 I appreciate these officers taking the situation in stride and finding humor in it. They even tried taking the dogs outside to go potty since the owner was at work.
If my dogs could figure out how to call 911 every time I left the house, they totally would. When they see me head out the door, they look at me like I am committing a heartless crime.
I hate it. Owners should have been arrested wasting precious time when someone who might needed to be saved couldn’t get saved because dogs were wasting their times. Those owners were reckless and disgusting for allowing their pets access to the device
Ahhh i love it. They are the best officer's for being so kind and taking them out to pee! Thank you for sharing that was so nice for you to visit them!! So cute lol💕🐾
