Qatar is the smallest country in gulf region. It is a member of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The other members are the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Natural gas and petroleum are the main source of Qatar's economy and account 70% of total government revenue. Qatar has the third-highest HDI in the Arab world. It is a high-income economy, backed by the world's third-largest natural gas reserves and oil.
