I watched pigeons raise their young on my neighbour's broken top floor window if that counts for something. Their first flights were to my window and back, and they still all hang around here. They kinda trust me a bit, cause they see me so often plus I give birds water in the summer and food in the winter.

To be fair, most birds are nowhere near as intelligent and the corvid breeds. They're extremely clever birds.

Definitely a baby because of the eye color and feathers and because he makes that fluttering wing movement and special super loud baby quack. They are so mischievous as babies and teens. lol My favorite bird.

This is a jackdaw but they are in the same family as crows.

Hey, it's been a while since you made this comment but I'd been having the same issue and solved it by eating my own food while the crows eat. It calms them down so much to know you have your own food, so you have no reason to grab them and eat them alive. I always had to walk a good 50 yards away from my crows in order to coax them down at all, but now I can stand practically in the middle of their formation with very little hesitation or fear coming from them. Still, they don't like being approached, so don't move around at all, but park yourself in the general vicinity of their food and start eating some potato chips or whatever. Stare off into the distance as if you're totally absorbed in your meal. You're probably aware that they get freaked out if you look at them head-on, as a human's front-facing gaze is unmistakably that of a predator

@@wedding2710 well,Weddiing, you've given me some good advice whch I'll try out......when the weather warms up.......in late spring in this part of the woods........nice of you to take the time to help me out here. They really are hellish to get along with......still, I do appeciate them.

He's tame in the sense that he's a very young bird who picked this man as a temporary babysitter and let him do the things his mom would do, like feeding him, cleaning/petting him etc. :)

@@wedding2710 Yes, I've noticed that crows get nervous when you look at them directly. The opposite is the case with jackdaws because they communicate with eye contact and look you directly in the eye, so if they have identified you as a friend, not looking at them would probably confuse them. The ones I'm friends with do the cutest little "pfff"/sneezing sound when they want me to pay attention and look at them. lol That's so cool that you figured out they were not eating around you because they were worried you might want to eat them or take their food when you were not eating something yourself. :D
