I have a question. Why dies she always write Jigsaw puzzle? Isn't that just a puzzle? I thought that Jigsaw was that horror movie.

@@olgak.9407 A jigsaw is a particular type of saw used to cut wood into curved pieces, and is the traditional tool for making these puzzles. (The word distinguishes this type of puzzles from others, like crosswords, mazes, etc.)

Also those flower got to be expensive as heck. And they ate not just there to be “fancy”. It actually adds to the puzzle and the finished look. It looks so nice. Although personally, the font looks really outdated and the color kinda doesnt match the pallete. Still this is such a beautiful piece of art.

When you mentioned it being a luxury puzzle with that price tag, I thought for sure it would be a whatever puzzle with some over the top packaging and claims about the craftsmanship. But I was honestly blown away. The quality of the pieces, the beauty and artistry of the puzzle itself, it's actually challenging cause of the piece shapes and it's custom made for you. Super impressed though the price tag is still crazy xD

When you're paying that much for a puzzle you aren't paying so much for the materials (although those are very good as well), you're paying for the time it takes to make it, and the thousands of hours it takes to learn how to do that. I don't see myself ever buying a $2,000 puzzle, but can certainly appreciate what it takes to make one.

@@thesledgehammerblog Most definitely. I probably wouldn't be buying one myself too (although I wouldn't mind striving for it one day) but I UNDERSTAND the price. With just watching it, you can tell the care that goes into making that puzzle. It's an amazing piece of art.

I think 100years or so I can imagine this puzzle being sought after by Par collectors sheerly because of its avantgarde-ness. Even if Par doesn't go the avantgarde route, it'll still be an outlier among the many Par jigsaw puzzles.

All the puzzle pieces looked so overwhelming at first but omg that jigsaw is a work of art! I thought the flowers were just a nice unboxing feature. I might have tried to remove them, not realising they were intentional 😂😂😭😭

I cried too. Everything was so beautiful (as beautiful as a flower???). The fact that people are just focused on making such beautiful things, and Karen is focused on just creating artistic videos, filmed in beautiful ways, and then posting for us, in this challenging time. A break for the length of this video from anxiety was what I sorely needed today, although I didn’t know it.

seeing those thick cut puzzle pieces reminds me of children's board puzzles with like 10 pieces, which still feel satisfying to put together over cardboard puzzle pieces lol this is a gorgeous piece of art you deserve to own it!

Textured puzzles do exist. Ravensburger does have 3 of them. One with cork, one with a special kind of paper, and one with black velvet. I liked them a lot :) Actually FLOWERs are a part of the puzzle with velvet on it

@@petrescuework-difficultcas6581 It's the sensori line from Ravensburger Vino for the cork one High Society Girl for the velvet one Sushi for the one with Japanese paper I also have a wood-lined one called Coffee Ingredients that doesn't belong in the sensori line.

@@KarenPuzzles They are deceptively difficult for 500 piece puzzles. But the cork one is great wall art since you can't really see the separate puzzle pieces when it's completed.

Just phenomenal. All the editing shots are a puzzle of their own too. Amazing camera angles and all the attention you put into everything. Nice to see thick pieces. And the presentation was phenomenally put together as well. Very amazing, Karen. I originally found you being interested in making a vertical puzzle using my thick paint that rises off the surface in a painting, now wondering about seeing the 3D effect in a puzzle too, and to see what was out there. One challenge is that the paint shrinks and expands and any edge pieces don't fit together well when painted over, so am thinking the edges would have to be raw somehow and painting only in the middle of each piece, than dong the whole painting and cut it. A fine art painting with massive texture and sculpture on top would be just so cool though. I'm glad to have found your channel. It is quite a neat idea you've put together here. Code: flower.

My brother used to make puzzles out of wood and I would paint them. It was fun and made children happy. Even personalized some. I do so love the flower with the bird puzzle you finished. I would still be working on it. That is if I started Dec. 1st 2020. Great work and anxious to see new work for 2021.

What a stunningly beautiful puzzle, with those added [FLOWER]'s, leaves and feathers. You can tell that there is so much craftsmanship that has gone into it, you should most definitely be honoured for having this gifted to you. Years ago, when I was at intermediate school, there was a 3D puzzle of a custom made wooden cube, when assembled. It was about 30-60 parts, I cannot remember now, but no one was able to put it together. It was a three day project for me, but I fully assembled it, by following wood grains. It was very satisfying, because even the teachers thought that pieces were missing, until I put it together. I'm not sure if anyone has done it since.

I love how the Flower(s) were incorporated. You can always tell when an artist takes his craft and makes something they enjoy. This is beautiful. The custom puzzle I'll always remember was one my high-school sweet heart made for me. He had a really important question for me and he made a puzzle out of it. I was only allowed to answer his question by giving him a single puzzle peice back...... it said "Will you go to prom with me? Yes No" Every word was broken up into multiple pieces except for the word "yes" was all on a single peice. Cheeky little boy, eh. 🥰

Years ago I made some puzzles for my nieces by gluing pages from children's books to thin plywood and band-sawing into large pieces. It's a lot of work so I can only imagine the time that goes into cutting a Par type puzzle. It was really satisfying watching you build the FLOWER/flamingo puzzle. Enjoyed this amazing puzzle from Par. Your comments at the end about different types of puzzles made me wonder if there is a company that sells a blank puzzle that you put together, then paint or draw an image, then disassemble it and give it away as a gift. I'll bet this concept already exists. Putting it together would be gruesome if it were blank, though. It would be like your mono-color puzzles!

Wow! That puzzle looks magnificent :-) I've never done anything like it. I actually sorted out many jigsaw puzzles when I was a child. They had max 500 or 600 pieces. Eventually, my parents bought me a 1000 piece puzzle. I remember it was some castle with a garden full of flowers. I sorted that one out as well, of course. Then, when I grew up, I started sorting out jigsaw puzzles on my tablet. It was lots of fun too, but, not the same experience... Now, when I'm 28 years old, I sort of started rediscovering jigsaw puzzles again. I noticed that over the years they evolved. You can now buy many varieties of puzzles and the pictures are so beautiful. Recently, I ordered a 3000 piece jigsaw puzzle for myself. I've never done anything like it as well. I guess it will be a huge challenge, but I can't wait to start. I'm so thrilled :-) (Flower)

This was an amazing puzzle. I haven't done anything close to this type of puzzle. The flower pieces are very clever. I don't know how you waited a month to open it!

I love photography! In the last couple of years I have discovered that Ravensburger allows you to upload your own images and create a jigsaw puzzle from it. I usually opt for 1,000 piece puzzles. I've had 2 of my pictures made into puzzles: One is a red caboose, and the other is a farm and mountain picture I took in Colorado. Both were so much fun to put together because they were MY photos! Wow....what a beautiful puzzle! Between the thick wood pieces, the hand cutting, the colors, and the beautiful flowers, I can understand why the price is what it is.This is much better than the $1000 hamburger thing where they just dump gold leaf on everything to inflate the value. This one's suitable for putting on the wall! It's art.
