"It's not worth the hassle", he took her money and then "got robbed" and never paid her back. People like him are why others refuse to help anybody. He needs to grow up and take responsibility.

This is such a old scam that ppl have been doing for a past few years. He definitely intended to not pay her back once she got caught up with PayPal. Smh

Even though he was hospitalized, I'm sure he still had his cell phone. He could have cash appd her or had someone do it on his behalf. When someone does you a favor, don't burn em.

Think he was a liar and kept making excuses. He conveniently got “fraud” when he was supposed to return her money. Anytime someone mentions getting sent money and it being sent back immediately makes me think of money laundering. I would have said no.

She is lucky to recoup her funds , most don't. 🤔 before you get taken advantage of. Be wary.

In this case the money is all electronic. I believe the plaintiff was operating with "dirty hands."

The old " I was in the hospital so that makes it ok if I screw my friend out of $345 " defence didn't fly with the judge, so be aware folks, I was sick so screw you isn't a legal defense.

I stopped using pay pal when I learned that they don’t care if a fraudulent company steels your money throw a fraudulent purchase. They said they would refund my money from the purchase, but I’d have to pay transaction fee. My credit card company backed me up though and covered it. But it felt like they were just happy to get there little fee, and didn’t seem to care about by whom or why the fraud accorded.

On paypal. If you sent to friends, you pay the transaction fee. If you're paying a company for a service/product, they pay the transaction fee.

Dude scammed the plaintiff period! He saw her as a mark and went in for the kill. He should be in jail.

My 10 year old is using her ipad with a 10 digit alphanumeric passcode with caps and special case. any purchase has to be approved with another passcode put that aside he could easily have paid her back knowing that it is not a fraud him not wanting to just means he got caught.

His little scam was messed up because she sent the money as a seller hence the reason she had fees, which then also meant he couldn't clear out his account instantly, he was hoping to pocket his return money and her money...

For the leash law question, there should be federal laws saying that all pets need to be on a leash when outside. If your cat is wandering around besides it could get hit by a car or attacked, someone could just take it because they think it's abandoned. I have cats wandering in my yard all the time. They drive my inside cats nuts. Also, I can get close to them to see they are male cats and they are not fixed. It is just a horrible idea to let your cats wander around without being on a leash. Keep them inside

Our cats walk on leashes. My oldest one is 14 and does not leave our yard when he's outside and pretty much just follows my son everywhere. But my son takes him on a walk on a leash in the afternoons and he LOVES it. Our younger cat has a leash in the front yard that my son hooks him to when he plays out front with the cats and she also goes on walks on a leash. I don't want my fur babies hit or attacked by another animal.

This is exactly why you can't do anything for anyone. It doesn't matter who the person is.

Some people say cats should be on leashes. I live out in the "sticks" and we have an outside cat who keeps the mice at bay. There would be no way we could do that if she had to be leashed.

I always kept my cat on a leash when outside . She went on walks with me every day . That was just the norm for her as she was always ready to get the leash on .

I don't believe anything he said, he was out to scam her from the start. He sent her money and then she sent it back, so that he could then cancel his transfer and at the same time receive her transfer and run off with double the money, then when she tried to get her money back, he conveniently had his stuff stolen and then his card was fraudulently used, waa haa boo hoo, I'm not buying it...

PayPal only charges 1 percent for instant if not the money is deposited next day. I use PayPal every week for the last 10 years so the defendant excuse is bogus

She never used PayPal and thinks that's an excuse. Huh. That'd be a great defense to a lawsuit. "I never read the driver's manual, your honor, so I didn't know I was supposed to stop at the stop sign. Therefore the accident wasn't my fault." Or even better..."I didn't know how to apply the brakes in the car, your honor, because I'd never used them before. Therefore, the accident wasn't my fault."
