Doing business in the Tweed - The Planning Framework 

Council’s Director of Planning & Regulation, Denise Galle, discusses the various State and local rules that can apply to starting business ventures in the Tweed. The advice will touch on works and uses that do not need consent, the complying development process and what you might need to look out for if a DA is required. Denise will point you in the right direction for tips and tricks on how to access the Council’s website, and how to obtain information to determine the level of application needed for your project. The session will wrap up with an overview of the new agritourism legislation and what this might mean for existing working farms in the Tweed.
