Keep at it. Artifacts take a long time. I have like 4 artifacts total that I'm super happy with. Most of my artifacts are just the right main Stat and then whatever stats they came with.
Have faith in yourself lol I was in a really bad tough spot with artifacts myself. In short, I had nothing left, just like you. It took a very long time to get my inventory back to a useable state, but it was doable. I pretty much followed Eakes's advice here with minor exceptions, and I can say that it all checks out both in theory and in practice.

ah, this account brings me back. today's my 1 year anniversary of playing this game, so I've improved a lot, and looking back, my account was like this too some months ago.
I play casually and mostly for the main story (plus some exploration) so I didn't really think about improving my character's stats or Clearing the spiral abyss. And it's not even funny anymore, how bad my account is stats wise😭 I am very slowly trying to build teams first, but I am dreading the artifacts grind😖
@@a_dsr4467honestly the real trick is just invest in a few characters at once and work on artifacts only after their weapons and talents are leveled. And also, so many of my artifacts would be roasted in an account review but I still 36 star the abyss every time, so don't expect that you need perfect rng.
honestly this account didnt had anything wrong with it, other then the lack of artifacts, people need to realise that artifacts in 90% of the damage, wepons and talents barely change that.
upgrading talents and weapons is only great because it's a guaranteed boost in dmg, not because they're so great. imo they should be way more influential than they are
Feels like Soomie may need long term guidance rather than account review. What feels hard and how to fix that thing first, how to boot up a good party to even start grinding those artifacts etc etc. I've tried to help a bunch of players in the game already and each of them was very different in that regard even though you might say their accounts were all in similar state of disarray.
I disagree. This person doesnt need long term guidance. They only really need to understand the basic gameplay loop of focusing on weapon, talents, and character levels and farming emblem and deepwood forever and strong box the rest.
all they need is time and patience with the artifacts. building character is very easy conceptually but the time and resin it takes makes it seem harder than it is
Co-op. To all yall who struggle with domains. Just do co-op (ALWAYS DO MAX LEVEL DOMAINS) because 100% you’ll find some bored veterans clearing domains with you.
XQ really is the best benchmark to start with on any account. Just seeing how much he's built/invested will tell you how much someone knows about the combat of the game.
I saw so many things of people saying that they are addicted to the game because they started recently and are a high AR. Now I have to ask how bad it is, started my main 4.4 second half and am already AR 53.
About Thoma, if you level his skill and burst it makes you more durable from the bloom self-damage. Also, I budget one month of artifact farming per character to get them to a decent place. You can save the account. I was a very confused player myself for about the first year. Just get those artifacts.
….If I had this level of dedication towards every character I build I’d have way more artifacts than I need lol. Too bad for me its just endless level /ascension /weapon grinding…. subpar artifacts are enough for me as long as the character isn’t one of my favorites.
Love the vid! My account should be an example too. I quit for a while when my only 5* was Dehya and the game got tough, but I came back and now have Kazuha, Furina, C1 Neuv, Raiden, and Nahida while staying mostly f2p. Still playing some catch up on artifacts though lol
I see that alot of players stop leveling their artifacts when they roll poorly, but like Eakes pointed out, *if its your only good piece...* For example you get a crit rate circlet, its your only crit rate circlet on that set, you got no more resin to farm for more. Level it up! it rolls like trash? bad luck but at least make it a +20 crit rate circlet, it will be better than nothing.
i honestly really need this haha, my acc is honestly so crap, and i have anxiety so i get scared of showing people my acc. i was playing when inzuma came out but quit for a while and only came back in 3.3. I'm not able to play much because of school and saying i broke my pc, so now i have to play on ipad, i stuffed this acc so bad its honestly scary, and it doesn't help i have no fomo so i dont get drawn when something new comes out. I really want arlecchino and shenhe but right now i only have 3 ive stars. i also have crappy build, i think i wanted to get AR more then trying to level up my party and stuff which has causes a bad downfall lol
I understand you, one thing that we need to focus on is to reach high AR 45-50+ where artifact domain can drop 5 stars only. Then focus on 1 or 2 teams (4-8 characters) that you would use daily or for the abyss. Im focusing more on building strong 4 stars (bennet, xiangling, xingqiu etc) and my fav limited 5 stars. I only have six limited 5 stars for a year and a half now. No rush buddy, take your time.
I hate watching others pretending to be the god everyone should listen in a videogame. To any player struggling: don’t ask these internet morons, if you’re having fun then you’re doing fine, if you’re not having that much help just make the changes by yourself and see what happens. Learn from your own experience.

Using 5 star artifact as fodder is wild you increase efficiency by almost 50% when strongboxing 5 star artifact you get and there are other ways to get artifact exp
i love seeing these videos because it reminds me of when i fixed my brothers first account. his account had c1 yoimiya and several other five star characters and even tho the were all above level 50 they could not even beet the cryo regisvine, im talking hu tao yoimiya(as previously said) tignari and eula it was sad... so baisically if i can fix a train wreck any account is fixable
This account is actually ten times better than a friend of mine, his only 5 stars are Kokomi, Keqing, and Diluc, his artifacts are a mess (i tried what i can to fix and save what I could, barely) It really feels like the account is cursed with bad luck too since his 50/50 was LOST to Keqing a while back on Ayato's banner, hadnt played since and hooo boy it's a mess 💀

Most accounts are salvageable, some just take waaay more time than others to recover. But how hard is it to google the best teams and artifacts for your faves? She also said that she used her fragile resin on characters and skills, but how come they are barely leveled up? What she has in her account in relation to what she said and how addicted to the game she was just doesn’t add up. No hate to Soomie, but please don’t lie. Props to her for having the courage to show her account, it’s not too late(sad for c6 benny). But just keep grinding artifacts and build the supports. Thats pretty much all you need to focus on.
This might sound crazy, but people can be addicted to the game and still not know much about it because... There's a LOT of different aspects to genshin. There's the Teapot, TCG, Character Lore, Worldbuilding, Exploration, Shipping, etc. I know my friends have played regularly for over 2/3 years, but their artifacts/talent levels are nowhere near the "expected" benchmark for how old their accs are. They simply play the game casually, and even I made the similar mistake in my own acc (which is by far the best in my own friend group in terms of gear because I put in time and dedication to rectifying my mistakes, although the character selection is still a bit yikes since I intentionally skip some meta 5 stars like Neuvillette/Arlecchino/Nahida/Yelan). I also know that people accidentally mess up with their farming, and again, even I did the same thing. I didn't know the guaranteed 5 star artifact was only available in the highest difficulty domain, so I spent a couple of fragiles doing the level 4 domains at AR45 thinking this was fine. It was a pretty dumb mistake back then... But now, the resin I lost there is negligible. This acc is only AR55, not AR60. There's still plenty of time to improve.
You should see my account 😂 I’ve had my account since 2020 and I just recently got to inazuma, I only have four 5 star characters, and like eight 5 star artifacts. I can’t build for crap and my coordination on a keyboard is completely lack luster so I’m generally just rlly bad at the game. Plus my attention span is too short so whenever they make me do random side quests I just stop playing for a rlly long time 😭 I got back into playing because of arlecchino. Only thing that I’ve had luck with so far is that I haven’t lost a 50/50 yet 😁
So I'm only 2:45 in and I can already forge two solid teams with everything that this guy already has. If he trying to complete the Abyss. which I assume he is. First is Raiden-National. The other is Childe Hyperbloom. Childe, Traveler, Beidou/ Yae Miko, Shinobu. Those two teams alone should be enough to take the Abyss down. And those are just what I saw. I wonder where Eakes is going to take him?
This is the problem with genshin literally, I want to be able to experiment with characters but we dont have the resin to level them all up. With artifact farming, u can use all 160 resins for the day and not get a decent artifact.
I wish there was like a tool or something so I know what to do, like I'm ar 28 trying to get back in and need help knowing what to do aside from ranking up and such

I've been WORKING SO HARD, to upgrade my account. Starting with the talents apparently X'D Like i went to check them and they were all barely like lvl 6/7 They cringed so hard , been working these past months to get them up X'D almost time for me to hunt some artifacts again X'D
Having 2 artifact domains to farm is pretty good for conserving grinding stamina. Whenever I get burnt out farming one set I take a week break to do something else with resin, then come back refreshed. But if you just go back into the same domain it's gonna burn you out again even quicker. So swapping between something like DW/GD > break > EoSF > break > DW/GD, etc, will still be fully beneficial and stave off burn out for much longer than spending 3 months straight in DW/GD.
So all i heard and saw was yapping and no actual fixing, id rather listen to water falling than listen to all this yapping with no actual fixing happening

Idk why you recommended to build so many different characters when you could’ve just focused on the 2 teams with already decent talents. They just need to grind artifacts. Feels like you just overwhelmed them more if anything.
I see where you're coming from, but this is a video that isn't going anywhere. They can always revisit the advice. I'm assuming that soomie is old enough to be able to choose ones to start with, and then work down the list of things he said. And then make some of their own judgement calls.
I have a lvl 80 built C2 Beidou and I literally never play her. How does one play beidou? do I have to sit around with her on screen and wait for an attack to parry?

such a horrible take. vape xl is fine at low investment, + xingqiu offers defensive utility that yelan doesn't, and allows you to run double hydro core if you have yelan as well.

I think you have them chasing way too many threads for where their account is at. Like having them pull for/level Fischl, Beidou, etc. when they already have so many electro 5-stars. And then a lot of the recommendations like Thoma burgeon, Furry Razor, etc. you didn't show cons but very unlikely they have cons to support those (C2/C4 Thoma, C6 Bennett). They already have a solid A team with International/Sucrose, and then B team can be random aggravate team with any two electro. Not optimal, but they are already leveled. Finally for artifact grind I would definitely camp Emblem/Shim first, because even 2+2s will rapidly progress the account. For aggravate Deepwood is useless, so less efficient for them.
Heya, a bit late, but I do have the C6 Thoma and Bennett to make those teams work. He touched on some of the cons on characters I have on stream but it didn't make it into the video.
I think its just the general guide to progress the account, not to be stronger at this moment in time. All of his advice will help the team u mentioned (international needs a lot of emblem + strongbox VV and aggravate use gilded and VV too) The deepwood is there because hyperbloom gonna be a huge powerspike with low investment artifact after they level up xingqiu unlike those 2 comps that scale with better artifacts.
@@yoswirawan I guess it's just different philosophy. To me improvement is better served with latticing technique. You want incremental gains to be visible, otherwise it's easy to get discouraged or overwhelmed. IMO they can clear with what they have now, just by mainly farming artifacts. They already leveled their favorite 5-stars, and already went for their 5-star weapons, massive crit stat sticks that will make their builds that much easier. Going nah forget all that and rebooting account towards hyperbloom/burgeon when its main advantage is redundant here (doesn't need 5-star investment) seems pointless to me.
Another advice I would give, is to keep at least 2 pieces of each weapons, even for 3 stars. For ex, instead of using all your Fav Bow as a refinement, keep another one at at refinement 1, so you have 1 fav bow at ref 2, and another one at ref 1. This is for future proofing. No need to level them up, until you have the character that needs it. Another reason is that some 3 stars are cracked on certain characters. Thrilling tales, magic guide, harbinger of dawn, white tasel, slingshot, etc are great on sooo many characters. Aside from that, have fun! This game takes a long time to farm, but the most important thing is still to have fun!
this is such real amazing advice, 99% of the time refinements dont make that much of a differece and having more copies of said weapon especially things like fav swords and fav bows can make a huge difference. theres always exceptions like very niche weapons but even then i like having atleast 2 copies just in case
