Most games would just throw NG+ options in there and just leave it at that. Crosscode going the extra mile and having people comment on it shows just how committed the devs are to the same level of care and attention to detail that underlines the ENTIRE experience.
At a certain point Hlin (or was it Lukas?) asks if you want your stats checked (I think it was for the raid?). If you brought NG+ stuff, they'd throw n that you are just showing off.
Something I found super funny was, and Im playing this on switch where they just released ng+ for it, that part where that dude tries to take you out in that tower, he realizes he can't kill you with strong enemies, so, instead opts to break your switch by instantiating hundreds of enemies, lmao. Honestly, it's the funniest developer joke I've ever seen. Here I am, laughing going, "nooooo stop, my switch can't handle 3000 enemies on one screen at once" Such a simple yet just stupidly funny solution to a part where the game clearly wants you to run away but instead you opt to fight until you get chip damaged to death, lmao
@@FF18Cloud The worst part about this is I used that section to power level with the damage hack. Went a few rooms down and found this room where there was a long walkway with only a single staircase to get to it. Kept throwing ranged attacks until the enemies were all level 99 and packed in like sardines to the point they couldn't path up the stairs anymore. After a while, the game started to lag, because you could use the level two ranged art for fire to kill enemies below you and I did that to keep them spawning and multiplying. I thought it was all well and good until I opened up the guide menu to record it and realized my Series X had started to lag. I left that room in a hurry.
The video also cut out a part where the designer says (as the 2nd battle against him begins) that he prepared for her ludicrous damage. The antagonist ACTUALLY does something different to try to counter this absolute power. This game REALLY is the best!
The game even has special dialogue for going into one of the "pvp" fights with one of the npcs if you have both infinite damage and one hit death enabled.
fun fact: sergey hacks gives you X4096 damage sad part: in vermillion tower, the designer is prepared to your damage level, his hp is multiplied by X4096
So basically, they added in new dialogue to New Game Plus based on the fact that you can play with your stats you had at the end of your first playthrough? One where it shows Lea growing mad with power, the players around her panicking? This is literally the Genocide route. I fucking love it.
The mad Lea dialogue is for Sergey Hacks. Transfer options have their own, seperate dialogues. Like Apollo completely freaking out about your level, while nobody else cares that you somehow finished the Tutorial (which only has a fixed amount of XP available) at endgame levels. Sergey Hacks stuff is by far the funniest IMO.
This is beautiful. I was pretty skeptical and hesitated to give this game a try, but I'm really glad I did. The hours just flew by. Almost done with the mine now and the game has absolutely won me over. The level of detail, polish, and care that went into this is fucking insane.
It really is such a great game. I just finished it yesterday and I have just been running back through all of the areas just for fun. Can't wait for the DLC to release
I just finished it today along with the DLC. Worth every cent. The puzzles on the most part can be very challenging. The enemies require more strategy to beat as do the bosses as you progress through the game. The story was really good too, delving into the ethics of AIs and whether or not they have rights like humans do. I hope we get a sequel because the game definately set itself up for one.
@@xDinomanx I mean, the team has a solid base game that they can 100% continue using the same engine for, put those 5 years of work to use, y'know. And yeh. Good to see some prolific technically html5/Js games having the level of polish this game does on multiple platforms
If this gets 10,000 views I might make another one with Prepare to Hi UPDATE: I have the footage, and am in the planning stages for the editing. Probably won't be out for a while though, so stay tuned. UPDATE 2: Ok I know it's been over a year, but it's not cancelled. You might see something soon. Maybe. Eh, no guarantees. UPDATE 3: The video has been like half edited for months now. Might finish it eventually when I find the motivation.
Welp, looks like it hit 10k after 6 months. Luckily the post-game DLC comes out soon, so I'll probably put it together after that comes out, so I can get back into the game. Prepare for pain. Subscribe if you want to see that, I guess.
I am currently on my first playthrough of Crosscode and damn this Video made me now backtrack and clear as MANY achievements as possible just to make a hilarious NG+ run
4:10 "Actually, never mind. You can just go ahead and *snipe it away."* I like how it ends with Yellow text stating some advice since Lea can still be harmed and killed even with her High damage power.
Before I finished this game, I decided to look at this video because it was recommended to me. I wanted to see what NG+ had to offer, and boy did I lose it when I saw the new dialogue and Lea going insane from the power. So, thank you for having me grind achievements and do those trials before I started. Great video.
Apollo and Emilie’s commentary in the duel when you have “Prepare to Hi!” turned on is also good (I turned both that and Sergey Hax on in the same run.) Apollo asks if it is another form of cheating, which I found amusing. Unfortunately, “Prepare to Hi!” seems to not have any special dialogue before that point?
I kinda thought of “Prepare To Hi” and “Sergey Hax”, combined would make the game a “one-hit wonder” game, where you can kill everything in one hit but so can everything to you
The editing on this was top-notch. Well done. I'll be looking forward to what you do next. Though I am a little sad you missed an opportunity to use Emilie's dead-eyed expression... (I guess I just have to get used to my friend and her one-hit kills-everything attacking...) Other than that, this is perfect. Tangentially related: don't you just love how *smug* Lea is when Apollo's berating her? He's just ranting about the philosophy of taking on a challenge, and her expressions just say, "You're just salty that you LOST." Even more tangentially related: I'm doing a NG+ run with Sergey's Hax and Prepare to Hi! So far, not noticing the dying part, but I'm sure that'll kick in during later levels...
I like how the game actually reverse deus ex machines sergeys whole damage multiplier thing by having him be practicing it before the game began, which is only relevant if Lea has that fragment Man this game is too good
I mean, it doesn't show that much though, only the tutorial and first area. Plenty more to discover if you play the game yourself, which I recommend it's great, along with the post-game story DLC, which I also recommend.
Level 31 right now. Had a tough first fight with Apollo, and barely squeaked out a 5-0 victory against him in the second fight. I look forward to putting him in his place once I finish the game and unlock that insane damage buff. **cracks his knuckles...**
When you play NG+ in a game, the characters just don't pay attention to your damage output at all. This video is the reason why I got CrossCode since I love fourth wall breaks and when characters in the game itself comment on how strong you are or you are cheating, they can't stop you, they only just commentate how absurdly strong your ass is while you mow down everything that gets in your way. Hell, the devs in Crossworlds made the game to flow with your level as a difficulty curb but nobody ever expects a "new" player to be stronger than even the devs themselves, and it's hilarious to see Lea herself discover her damage output to be in the millions
They're not even true 4th wall breaks. The game takes place in an MMO, so the other characters are "players" and the levels exist in the inner MMO. Inner 4th walls tend to be a lot more fragile than outer 4th walls. Make sure you get to see the quest An unfortunate Series of Features.
Lea: aggressively greets and "Hi"s everything to death* LMAO XD Seeing our green haired friend getting soooo triggered omggg this is gold XD i love it when devs add extra flavor text
I knew I needed to give NG+ a go but now I know there are so many options and not only that but I'm gonna make up for all the pain and stress Apollo caused with his goddamn duels.
i love how sergy hacks give a use for lea's joke genocide sprites. so much of the new game plus stuff is just plain old fun. like joern being completely chill with lea starting at level 70
I LOVE that attention to detail. it's what makes this game such a hidden gem. THis was such a hilarious video, going to see if I have its new mode or not >_>
when i went into NG+ i expected for it to last till the 1st dungeon or so but no , the damn thing last till the very final boss. I mean the devs could just give you the cheat dmg and call it a day but they went out of their way to change the whole damn dialogs for this version of the game till the very end and that's a lot I remember there were other different dialogs if you enter NG+ without this but other stuff activated but i already 100% the game so i didnt go in a 3rd time to test i (pass when you talk with sergei for the 1st time and he calls you sus). Truly a masterpiece
Oh... my... GOD! I skipped that option in NG+, living only extra drop&gold&exp to quickly refresh my memory about plot and visit DLC, thinking it would be TOO boring. But guess I'll do third walkthrough just see each of this quotes myself. So much attention to details... Thanks for sharing, man.
This is hella fun to watch since I have been playing in struggle just to reach Bergen Village🤣Lea's grim expression and these reactions of everyone seeing Lea's damage tho😂
GOATed game fr. A masterpiece if you will. Everything about it is amazing. BGM, combat mechanics, worldbuilding, lots of content. If they somehow made this into multiplaysr with access to all class unlocked, I wouldnt be surprised to see it become big. The PvP potential is huge if they can create a fair rules
