Doing Yoga Got Me Demons 

What did you learn about this interview?

I was a devout Ashtanga yogi just before finding God - He afflicted me with terrible illness so that I would call out to Him. I asked Him myself whether yoga was anti-christian as there was doubt in me about the chanting, the meditation, the altars and incense that was burned during practice and the prayers (now I look back and realise how spiritually blind I was). For an entire month after I asked God I was harassed every night by demons. They would pull me around in my bed, I would wake up and be walking in other dimensions - I even once woke up levitating in the air and there were 4 demons holding me up. It was insane. I got rid of every book, statue and piece of spiritual paraphernalia in my house. Evil comes dressed as light. I lost all of my yogi friends and community as I tried to warn them and they thought I was insane. And the Christians don't believe me either. Walking in the truth can be pretty lonely.

I started having (sexual) lucid dreams after doing yoga for about 2 months. I studied the history of yoga (succubus/incubus spirits) and quit immediately! All praise and glory to Lord Jesus!

I was doing a daniel fast and reading the Bible cover to cover during a vacation. I did a stretching workout video including yoga and Holy Spirit shook me like a leaf, dropped me to the ground and told me not to do it any more. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wow! What a testimony!!! I also was a Christian who practiced yoga for physical health and loved the physical results. I was ignorant to the movements of worship to demons. It was serious. I renounced it during my deliverance. That’s when I realized. And it CANNOT be repackaged!!!!! But I love that Hanna said movements are not owned by any religion. There are plenty of other ways to stretch and work out your body. I loved hearing Hannah's story! Next time I would suggest letting her keep talking a bit more. I noticed there was a lot of interruption. But other than that it was a great interview! This is definitely a topic that needs to be exposed.

My intention is not to be critical but I feel the moderator interrupted and unintentionally diverted where the Holy Spirits leading during this interview. It felt multiple times as if something nourishing was coming but was stolen away before we received it

AMAZING!! I relate SO much! I was doing hot yoga 5x a week and sometimes 2-4x a day! I was obsessed and addicted to the spiritual high and did kundalini and that was a NASTY demon that took a long time for me to Deliverance from. It attached itself to my mind and body. I had to unravel from the constriction of the serpent. They have a lot of spiritual truth in the new age but it is all counterfeit of Christ and true godly spirituality!

Wow, thank you so much for doing this interview! I used to do PiYo several years ago (it’s a combo of Pilates & Yoga). I just started exercising again, but this time my 4 year old daughter wants to do it with me. I did a few PiYo workouts with her but had this uneasy feeling about it. I was in yoga for almost 5 years, and it wad the opening to my new age journey until i got saved by Jesus Christ 2021. God saved me from the false light. I was having demons, and was opening up to the dark spiritual world. I did start doing bikram yoga. Thanks for this podcast. JESUS is good!

I really enjoyed watching this! I went on a similar journey myself except that I was practicing yoga before I became a Christian and had a hard time letting go of it after I accepted Jesus, but eventually realized and accepted that the physical parts cannot be separated from the spiritual...but even so, to everyone who is on the fence about this, why even risk something like that when you now have JESUS to supply your every need! Its just not worth it! What you can lose by practicing yoga far outweighs what you may lose by giving it up. And I agree with Hanna - a 3 part series sounds amazing! I enjoyed this interview. A gentle note of constructive criticism: there was a lot of interrupting of the person being interviewed. It’s really tough on the person who is talking & they are not able to complete their thoughts.

Lana, you seem a little impatient or uninterested with the apathetic sounding nodding when she’s sharing her testimony. Interesting talk - I just thought it wasn’t very empathetic how you cut her off and sounded bored at times when she Hannah was talking. Even with that, I do appreciate the topic. ❤

Thank you for speaking truth on this topic. I used to practice "Holy yoga" inside a church. My former yoga instructor was married to the pastor. He has since left the church, and she is now teaching others how to deconstruct their faith. I blame yoga and the demons that partner with it. Join me in prayer that they one day see past the deception and that they come back to the Lord!

I love how people will say Yoga is demonic and praise Jesus a "savior" who doesn't save. Where is this savior with all of these children being sacrificed and trafficked? Waiting??? Clearing your mind and stretching is not evil. Christians are unbelievable. A bunch of people who take that STORY in a BOOK literally that don't realize that consuming the "body" and the "blood" is CANNIBALISM.....which is of the occult....lmao

My friend had a significant experience during meditation and got scared. It wasn't related to yoga or spirituality, but simply his boxing training. He had suffered abuse for years in his childhood, and probably that's what resurfaced. It should be worked through with a psychotherapist, but he went to an exorcist instead. It relaxed him. At the same time, all the issues were swept right back under the carpet, so his childhood trauma keeps running his life unconsciously. As for releasing the trauma, there are Western sources about it, e.g. John F. Barnes and myofascial release, Stanislav Grof and breathwork, not to mention "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van der Kolk. I don't know about the US, but looking at Catholics in Europe, they tend to ignore their traumas, which brings denial and despair in old age. I joke my grandma invests in real estate because she bought her grave 30 years ago already. Praying hours a day, proud to "carry her cross" of not being fit because she ignores her body. So many Christians carry some unnecessary crosses (an excuse for being passive) instead of using their talents to help themselves and uplift their community, and don't care about their environment because this world is just temporary. I saw it in Muslims too. This life is a test so we don't care. Just throwing some cash and food for the poor, fasting, and ignoring the rest. Maybe it's much better in the US because Americans hold the beautiful notion of stewardship. However, be careful not to put yourself in a yoga-based cult. The world's full of narcissistic people who set up communities based on trusted philosophies for their own advantage. Whenever there's a "guru", that's a red flag waving.

No offesne but I wish the host would let her talk. It sounded like the guest was about to share some great info but then the host cut her off just to say nothing. Thats the only downfall to this video.

I just go for walks at the park for exercises, so much fitness is complex or too much, a simple walk-in nature does wonders as well as relaxation.

During my own season of deliverance, I learnt that yoga does open doors for demonic influence and interference. Doors are just doors, whether it's something that appears simple or obvious. It takes the Holy Spirit and obedience from our side to be rid of sin and close those doors. All the glory I give to Jesus Christ who saves and redeems for my deliverance in Jesus name. Much love❤

I think Hanna Yi should have her own channel. Hanna has a lot to share and has a very warm personality and very articulate, too. She has a beautiful aura, spiritual, mental, and physical.

I was into vedic astrology and India, I even bought a statue of a hindu God at one point, and as I was watching a prayer for deliverance my tongue stuck out, I had a dream of Kali in the past, even though I was not interested in her particullary. I am very happy to see you building this channel.

Hanna’s testimony is amazing. It is an amazing example of how important it is to dwell in our Bible and to discern the fruit of the people we keep around us and also how prayer with Christ is so so so important. It is also eye opening how our early years are so important to our spiritual development. I’m 40 and in hindsight I see that so much of my suffering in my early years was a direct spiritual attack on me and my family. I also see the perpetual suffering in cultivating my children. Now that I am learning who God is, who Christ is, and who I am in Christ versus knowing God and Christ superficially and not knowing myself at all, I see how much work needs to be done as a parent and how much prayer and faith it will require of me to correct what has already been passed. But I have faith that Jesus will show himself to my children in His time. God will make a way. Faith and prayer 🙏🏼 this was a great interview!

This was great. Reading some of the comments I’m sorry to see some people missed a lot of the points 😢 I’m hoping the right people heard the message they needed to hear. Stretching is great for your body, doing something like Pilates is great. However, Yoga which is rooted in spiritual practices is not okay. Not because stretching causes issues but because Yoga practices require emptying your mind. This leaves space for spiritual impact outside of the holy spirit. Thank you for sharing this message and for being so vulnerable. I’ve been to a “Pilates / Yoga” fusion class once and the instructor told us to empty our minds and “hover above ourselves”. I’ve never had such strong spiritual alarm bells going off! Thank you for sharing the truth.

Great interview, Lana! To second another commenter, Pilates has no spiritual connections. Joseph Pilates repurposed and modified a few moves from yoga, but his method also took influence/moves from dancing, boxing, and the circus. The Pilates method is closer to calisthenics in some aspects, if anything, but Joseph never added a spiritual aspect to the practice. It was (and is) more about building a mind-body connection, and rehabilitating and strengthening the spine.

I am a personal trainer and did Yoga a lot for several years and loved it. But the Holy Spirit started nudging me and/or convicting me that God found it to be offensive. I was just about to go and get my Yoga training/certification and then got these Holy Spirit nudges and confirmation that God wanted me to stop all of my practice of Yoga. I now do mat Pilates in place of it and absolutely LOVE it and at 47 years old have 8-pack abs… so I’m very satisfied with the changes I made. Hope this blesses someone out there some way. As a Christian it’s interesting to me listening to this account of how demonic forces enter into yoga. The telling signs/ evidence of this that these two Godly women site as confirmation demons are present there, like people shaking, people yelling, crying, expelling wild, intense energy and emotion, are all the same things performed in some churches, plus talking in tongues. And we praise that. Some Christians witness in awe and revere that sort of behavior in the context of church as a positive sign, as a sign that someone is really being possessed by the spirit of Christ.

Fears without basis in reality like this are the only demons!! What one needs is deliverance from these fears and that’s what yoga gives! Makes you grounded in reality.

Intrusive thoughts too, it happens when I think of my ex husband, he did me terrible things, i have to break this soul tie asap, the rest i completely renounced all sins and repented , now im struggling to forgive him, help me in prayer to forgive him completely
