The shooting deaths of four law enforcement officers in east Charlotte followed renewed efforts by the U.S. Marshals Service to expand training in recent years. However, a 2021 federal report raised serious questions about just how many officers actually received that training.

Certainly, enhancing training is beneficial, but the underlying issue remains unaddressed: the failure to hold criminals accountable for their multiple offenses.

It's really too early to start harping on "training." I mean, we don't even know all the facts yet, like who the two females were inside the house and what they were doing there or how they fit in. For some reason their identities are being hidden.

@@dennistowerofpower5808 How much training do you need to not jump a guy at his home where his guns and ammunition are? They could have waited until their suspect was outside of the home but that would have required actual investigation. But no, they wanted to jump him in his home, destroy the home, which they did, and brutalize anyone inside, because that is what they do every time. Hubris got those cops killed, not lack of training.

So this report does not know the specifics of this shooting. They don't know if they were compromised and engaged on approach. If they were compromised making entry into the structure and were engaged in the threshold of the structure. They don't know if they were in the structure and engaged, yet these Monday Morning quarterbacks who safely sit in their station with the righteous ability to critique these officers feel qualified to make an immediate judgement about what should or shouldn't have been done. SMH.

majority of warrants US Marshals serve are high-risk warrants, what are they supposed to do? Sit at their desk all day? Usually stuff will be handed off to a SWAT team when it is a barricaded subject or hostage situation.
@17forever64
@17forever64 3 месяца назад
@@tororosso7046 I’m a little confused by your response. The Marshals called local law enforcement to assist them with the warrant. The Chief said they would figure out how to prevent this in the future, I just gave an idea. If you have a dedicated SWAT team, this is an excellent example of what they train for, they have the highest skill and equipment level, let them do it. I perfectly understand how SWAT is used at most departments, “for barricaded subject etc.” That is why I made this suggestion, I’ll just leave it at that!

These people are talking about combat training. That means the trainees will see you and me as the enemy, the dangerous ones, and act accordingly. What this case needed was old fashion investigation so they knew who was in the house and when this guy would leave or at least be alone in the house. They did none of that. They made a paramilitary attack on this home and ran across someone who could shoot back. Are they being trained to save lives? Hell no, they are being trained to kill.
