Welcome BACK to the Hype Horn, where today we are reacting to the new gameplay trailer for DokeV, and stylish monster collector game from Pearl Abyss! This game has INSANE graphics, and looks to come to PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 *eventually*. We are really intrigued by the gameplay premise, and are stunned by the art design! Pearl Abyss is also releasing the upcoming Crimson Desert game, which also has TONS of potential based on recent trailers. We can't wait to see more of these games!

From all the games shown today, this is the one I am most excited about, which is impressive since I have the beta for Riders Republic. The music is also insane!

DokeV, Cult Of The Lamb and Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga are the best games of that entire pre-show in my opinion.

The game is focused around Korean Mythology/Folklore " Dokkaeibi ", where Creatures/Spirits/Deities take spiritual possession of inanimate objects and cause mischief/tricks/or help humans. Let your imagination go wild cause that could mean they can possess Robots / Household items / Plushy cuddly bears etc. And not limited to being your opponents neither, since the trailer shows that you get help from creatures fighting alongside you :3

As soon as I saw Pearl Abyss, I knew straight away the graphics and the movements from fighting to running to walking will be fire, they're the devs that made Black Desert Online, by far the greatest looking MMO to ever exist, even the fighting is unbelievable.

Dokkaebi (Korean: 도깨비) are legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore. Dokkaebi, also known as "Korean goblins", are nature deities or spirits possessing extraordinary powers and abilities that are used to interact with humans, at times playing tricks on them and at times helping them. Legends describe different dokkaebi in many forms, and dokkaebi often wear hanbok. In fairy tales, Dokkaebi usually carries a Dokkaebi bat (like a magic wand). In the game trailer, when the main character takes out a hammer (Dokkaebi bat) when attacking the monsters, it seems that the game users are fighting the monsters while living as Dokkaebi.

I thought K-Mobile died of gacha games. But as a Korean, this Pearl Abyss... A goblin is a real adult, and it's very touching. The imagination that we imagined when we were young has become reality. I feel so good and excited.

I want to see someone actually play this game to see if that indeed was actual in game footage. That said Ive played BDO so yeah I would not be surprised if all of that was real. The big problem from Pearl Abyss is how they actually handle the game itself as BDO is real fun game and mechanics, but the cash shop is aggressive the community is pretty toxic and the story is not all that engaging, despite having a good premise.

도깨비 Dokkaebi Dokev try reading it like this Dok.e.V It kinda mean to say it like this but i know alot of people now oni more then 도깨비 so think like this it a korean Oni But both sound same but their not. From the look it self look diffrent Oni has a big teath and horn. More close to a demon Dokkaebi look like a human and like to play trick and play. Mostly harmless... Mostly

probably the 'DoKeV' V pronounce to single alphabet 'V'. Those game developers seem to call 'DoKeV' Do-Ke-Vi.

You should pronounce it as Dokevi not Dokev cause it means a Korean monster or ghost called 도깨비, which is why they named the game Doke'V'.

제 생각에는 오히려 도깨뷔(DokeV) 라고 하는게 맞는 것 같아요. 비주얼이 일반적으로 우리가 생각하는 도깨비가 아니잖아요. 전통적인 도깨비를 모티브로 현대적인 도깨뷔(DokeV)를 재창조한거 같은데요 ㅎㅎ 게임회사에서도 일부러 DokeVi, Dokkaebi 가 아니라 현대적인 느낌이 가미되도록 "도깨뷔(DokeV)" 라고 한것 같아요.

The "Doke" part is pronounced like the "Poke" in Pokemon, except it's a D instead of a P. And the "V" part is pronounced like the "mon" in Pokemon, except its a V instead of a mon.
