Arts-intensivist Geert Meyfroidt stond tijdens de coronapandemie voor wellicht de grootste uitdaging van zijn carrière: als voorzitter van de Belgische Vereniging Intensieve Zorg bewaakte hij mee de capaciteit van de intensive care-bedden. Samen met collega’s van KU Leuven en UZ Leuven bundelde hij de krachten om ons land succesvol door de crisis te loodsen.

During the coronapandemic, physician-intensivist Geert Meyfroidt faced probably the greatest challenge of his career: as chairman of the Belgian Society for Intensive Care, he helped monitor the capacity of intensive care beds. Together with colleagues from KU Leuven and UZ Leuven he joined forces to successfully steer our country through the crisis.
