Since the Illyrian's era, through Byzantine and Ottoman Empire epoch, and even though for a short time, during the period of Austro -- Hungarian Empire rule, the city of Prishtina was built and developed as the fusion of all this cultures. Not so long ago, the capital of Kosovo was a beautiful city with two rivers, many parks and unique architecture that reflected the soul of ancient cultures of those who build it. Unfortunately, this city lost its soul. The magic and the beauty of the cultural mixture, build through the millenniums, which would simply make you fall in love with this city, is gone. Together with two rivers and spiritual center of Prishtina. This documentary is about architectural and environmental devastation that city of Prishtina has suffered, since 1945 up to the present time. The destruction began right after the World War II when the communist regime ruined the monuments and buildings that were the cultural and historical heritage of Kosovo's capital, like for example Old Bazaar, Llokaq Mosque (XV Century), Old Catholic Church and Synagogue of Prishtina. All of them had been wiped out, together with the Old Bazaar that was one of the kind in the Balkans. Moreover, Prishtina lost its two rivers, Vellusha and Prishtinka which were slush covert. Meanwhile during the late 80's and through the 90's, Serbian military regime continued the destruction and finally, after the Kosovo liberation in 1999, the tremendous speed of illegal buildings has given the final knock. The old houses, which were of great cultural heritage value, have being ruined, to give the way for modern buildings. Finally, the latest crime happened when, three century old Hatunije Mosque was ruined, in order to be modernized. No rational explanation can be found to justify the ruining of the old mosque and Prishtina's cultural heritage, in order to rebuild it with a modern look. So, this documentary talks about the Prishtina's devastation during the last six and a half decades. I CAN'T SAY: ENJOY IT :(
