Liquid gold is what this fragrance is. The original fragrance has a few stages to it that takes you on a journey. It changes like a chameleon. It's sexy af. I have 5 bottles of the made in Italia. This will always be in my collection. Great video
Hi Dacob. Happy Friday. I just wanted to say that I received my “Made in France” D&G Pour Homme today. I’m in love again. Game changer from the one from UK!! Ah...the memories of my club days. Thank you for this. Otherwise I would never have known.
Very good job with describing the difference. I had a bottle in 2015, the old one, it was so so so so good, like an 'oily' and non-stop atracting adiction. I was naive and bought a bottle last year, the disapointment i felt the first time of wearing it, i just can't describe it. With this reformulation, the magic was forever sealed in a bottle. Sad.
Finally someone did it. I keep asking reviewers to make a comparison video on the vintage version vs the made in France. I like the current version and think worth picking up a bottle if you don't want to spend a fortune for the vintage. It's the best formulation since this masterpiece got ruined. Great review. Keep up the good work.
Well great... I've had a .2ml bottle of the '94 version since i was a kid. Used it for the forst time today and fell in LOVE with it. Went to purchase a bottle and discovered that it was in fact a vintage bottle and has been reformulated. This one is intoxicating. I'll still grab the new one, but now my dreams are crushed. Glad I found this video.
Just be very careful and QUICK dear! Watch my latest video on the subject of DOLCE & GABBANA POUR HOMME to understand more. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2muiq6oUISc.html
@@SuperDacob Thank you for sharing that. Man, when it rains, it pours, huh? I'll definitely scoop up the Pour Homme today and keep my fingers crossed. One final thing - should I definitely grab the French bottle over the German bottle? I can get either one (German is a tester), but I just want the closest thing to this Italian masterpiece. Thanks again for your input and knowledge. You've earned a subscriber!
it was the most enjoyable video I’ve seen lately. your facial expression and feeling describes very well how I feel about this scent (especially the old version) and I love it. thanks for this cool video! subscribed 🙂👌
I had the first formulation years ago, I have the new version (France) it has certain similarity for what I remember, it is lighter and this one has a soapy feeling. I found out that by adding a layer of Molecule 02 on the top you can get a very very similar vibe of the first formula (made Italy).
The best comparison of these two Versions in the Internet!!! Love your style with no prejudices for the current releases. I would be very pleased if you can make a comparison of the different Versions of Diors Fahrenheit. I love the Original first Version. But I think Dior tries to keep the heritage of the Fragrance in the modern Formulation. They did quite a good job as D&G did.
His reviews on fragrances are masterpieces- If he had a channel reviewing exclusively vintage & modern male colognes he would be the best in the frag game.
nice comparative. When this scent did reformulated for the first time ? Do know what year ? I have some bottles from Euroitalia and I don't know with some this are 1998 or 2008 and the difference is very close. thank you
Hi :) Are you able to tell me, from when your vintage version is? The second Euroitalia one? :) I have the opportunity to buy the Euroitalia one from 2007 but I am just curious if it still worthy?
You review it perfectly! I prefer the vintage formulation. It has more depth to it and it even last longer on my skin . Is it still available for purchase? I wonder if someone here sell the vintage version?
It is available Rodrigo. I have moved it to my newly launched channel, dedicated solely fo perfumes, called: “Essence-tially Dacob”. You can find the video there and you can also subscribe to my new perfume channel if you like. Xoxo
@@SuperDacobthanks. But actually I misunderstood it because I thought it was a video about D&G pour homme original with "very emotional" (I've seen the other one already). I bought my first one in 1998 (it was 5ml or something). Then in 2000 I bought a 75ml and it smelt a bit different (still incredible). I bought more 2 (I think) in the next 7 years or so and the quality was amazing. I got one from UK a few years ago and it is not the same. I thought I was becoming crazy but a couple of years ago I found out all of this versions history. Now I'm trying to buy the euroitalia version. Would you, please send me pictures of the box and the perfume (front, back, bottom, top of both) so I can seek for it in my country (I'm not a competitor lol)? Thanks for your attention
So where can i get to original? Can you direct me to i link please. Last time i bought this it was the UK version & it smelt like lemon cleaner not the beautifully complex original i remember.
Dacob, in the original was there an almond note? I remember loving the original because of that not. However, the reformulation doesn’t have that almond note that I fell in love with in the 90’s. In hind site, right? Wish I still had that beloved bottle of my club days. I continue to support D&G Homme because I’m connected to that youth vibe that you speak of. The fans will have to settle. Thank you.
I don't smell an almond note in either of the two formulations to be honest. But there is a nutty note in it however. If you overspray the made in France version (and I highly recommend you to overspray it) after it settles in a bit, it goes more floral than the OG and has that same nutty touch, even though very subtle, but not bitter like an almond note would otherwise have.
@@mrfragranceparis Hi Fashion Hubert, I have a bottle of the UK version, not much happening in this juice. I will specifically look for the French made one. Thank you so much.
@@jerryconn6496 definitely do so. The UK version is the known for being the worst one. I have the German one which is okay but everyone saus the French version is VERY close to the original
This scent is beautiful, but it does not outweigh the version of 94, the Italian product that is super beautiful and very sexy for women. It is a wonderful sexy perfume
The main reason for the differences in the fragrance is because EuroItalia both developed AND manufactured the original. When D-G sold the fragrance division rights EuroItalia refused to give up the formula. So every version since then has technically been a clone. Shiseido has attempted to make a deal to get the original formula, along with the formula for By Man, but EuroItalia has still refused.
@@SuperDacob I read it in an article I happened to stumble across on the interwebs a while back. The article primarily dealt with the fact that Shiseido is apparently interested in relaunching By Man and was attempting to make a deal to get the original formula. If all this is accurate then evidently EuroItalia's original contract with D-G made the formulas THEIR intellectual property and allowed them to keep 'em when the fragrance division rights were sold.
There is a difference bewteen the 1994 italian formulation and the same italian reformulated made by P&G? Is better than the actual french this reformulation of euroitaly? Thanks mi amigo
Well I don't know this perfume because I have never tried it, but now as you describe it I really want to try it just for the curiosity. So speaking about Euroitalia and italian perfumes I would like to hear from you an opinion of Uomo? by Moschino. For me it is such a happy perfume and yes 'molto italiano'. So it would be great if you descibe it if you find the time and occasion.
The German version was the worst in my opinion the opening is a very sharp citrus opening, but the U.K. Version IMO is blended better on the top notes. Nothing beats the original.
I have the german, UK and a few days ago I recibed the france version. I love all 3 but for some reason I prefer the german version. Last a lot on my skin with 3 spray and the smell is so yummy. Need to test more time the france formulation. Never had the opportunity to smell the original, but i'm okey with the newest.
@@cerveshred Once you get passed the opening notes on the German version it’s not bad, the UK and France are pretty much the same, but the original is something on a different level, it has many levels and it’s more like a EDP you will smell it the next morning. I’m nursing a 4.2 oz bottle and use it for special occasions. They are very expensive on EBay and won’t pay for it even though it’s the best.
I just got the newest version of this cologne, and I really do feel like it's baby powder in cologne form. Which is a good thing for me, I love it. Also, I just found your channel upon looking up reviews of D&G' Pour Homme out of curiosity and wanted to see what others had to say about it. In doing so, I found your channel and am now in love. :) The history lesson you gave about D&G's Pour Homme was fascinating. Just curious about this as well: are you by chance Quebecois? Ma mere est du Montreal. Aaaand lastly, are you single? Kidding, kidding!
When you purchase in store, you can tell. Just turn the box around and look at the back bottom print and it will clearly state where the perfume was made in.
how does this compare to D&G light blue? i feel like light blue makes me smell older if that makes sense lol. Eros is still my goto for now I just can’t put it down.
