DOLL$BOXX is the band GACHARIC SPIN with fuki - fuyuki tenge - added as the lead vocalist. it was a kind of side project of G.S. and they did 2 cd's - this one from 2012 and got together for a 2nd one in 2018. fuki is a phenomenal vocalist who is in UNLUCKY MORPHEUS as well. she is going to be 38 this year ! she got her start with the band LIGHT BRINGER in '05 and the keyboard player in that band was none other than mao yamamoto. the same mao who is LOVEBITES' assist songwriter and plays some keyboards in a few of their songs. a lot of links between these awesome japanese bands.
It's basically a slightly darker side of Gacharic Spin ( from before Angie joined ) + Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus . BTW can't believe you didn't recognise Hana on drums . There is a series of these videos which are worth watching in order - they're all interesting both musically and visually Enjoy
Hana is such a beast as any of the ladies can be. ❤🔥 Gacharic Spin with the extra spice that Fuki brings. :) I really hope new material from Doll$boxx comes with their reunion at the end of the year. 🤞🏻 And will Yuri and Angelina join in, or leave the field to the original line-up. So many questions and hopes, but the bottom line is excitement and just good music. 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ _"Sometimes we laugh because we're sad or to hide our frustration"_ - from *Gacharic Spin* -「 I Wish I 」 ♬✨
Thanks for the Reaction RC - I appreciate it. Couple of things: It's Dolls Box (the $ is an S) . . . and Lightbringer disbanded a long time ago,. Fuki was a founding member of Unlucky Morpheus, along with guitarist/growler Shiren, in *2008* (They started as an Anime and video game Cover band) Over time they added more of the current members (last was Jill in 2016). Fun Fact about Lightbringer. They had a Great keyboard player named Mao (still a close friend of Fuki - and in some of her numerous 'projects'. *He has also written or co-written about 30% of Lovebites' songs!*
Oh! I said Lighthouse didn't I? crap! Ok, and now I understand the dollar sign (think that would have been self evident but I somehow missed it.) Thanks for the request! Really liked them. We'll do more. Glad you're here!
Love this band. as I do GS. Thanks for the reaction. DOLL$BOXX did a legendary performance at Tokyo Dome City Hall 2018.04.15. If interested here are a couple oflinks to some of the songs they did: DOLL$BOXX - Dragonet [high $pec High Return 2018] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VaKYOht62OM.html DOLL$BOXX - Karakuri Town [high $pec High Return 2018] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2NYUOaGKjLE.html below is a live performance of the track you have covered in this reaction DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance [high $pec High Return 2018] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y_XCxD-P87w.html
This video is simultaneously satirizing the Japanese idol music industry, with the requirements that the women all affect cute, infantile personae (it's even worse in Korea), and also "Otaku" culture. Otaku are the nerdy guys who obsess about tech or other specialized subjects, and also worship the idols who are, of course, unattainable for them. It's actually quite a deep video.
this first cd had an mv made for EVERY song hence the to be continued shown in the little box at the end. it goes on like that for the full cd. how many bands have ever done that ? none. also the second cd 'high spec high return' had the same thing done. an mv for every song. one of the best songs from the first one is 'loud twin stars'. all of the rest are excellent as well : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R2itu5KEvG0.html
Yes, F. Chopper Koga (bass) and Tomo-zo (guitar) beat BAND-MAID to the maid costumes by a couple of years. : ) BTW, the "$" in the band's name is pronounced as an "S". Doll's Box. EDIT: I see you already acknowledged that in your reply to another comment.
Glad you found Doll$Boxx! I'm not very good at English, so I'll leave the detailed explanation to others. I hope you will see them perform live! If you want to check them out on the same song as this reaction video, this is the video. -- DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance [high $pec High Return 2018]. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y_XCxD-P87w.html
❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 OH Hell Yeah !!!! I have been waiting for your take on this one , Gacharic Spins evil twins fraking rock and they are getting together again later this year it has been way too long since the last time they were together , they are all from Gacharic Spin except Fuki they actually did a full concert as Gachairc Spin then did a quick change and came back out with Fuki to do another full concert as Doll$Boxx on the same stage talk about fraking stamina ! 6 out of 6 of my favorite musicians right here Brother !
Sorry for my persistence. Tip: The members of Doll$Boxx can be easily seen by comparing with "Gacharic Spin - "Black Survival"" which you posted a month ago. -- Doll$Boxx (Fuki: vocalist) ↑↓ Gacharic Spin (Angie: pink-haired vocalist + yuri: electric drum pads) -- The other four are the same person. By the way, Doll$Boxx also performs "Black Survival". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D4jCaPV3Jg4.html
I posted some history of Gacharic Spin on your first reaction to them. Here is the part of that history which concerns Doll$Boxx: GS started in 2009, with a lead singer called Armmy (Takae Ashitomi). They did a sort of highly technical punk-pop, but crossed genres a lot. They started to have friction between Armmy and the rest of the band, and then in early 2012 she left, officially for health reasons. She died in 2015; their work with her is very much worth seeing-here is an early one: “Setsunaku” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vfzIt20_xXg.html The girls were all just out of high school, and you can see they were already doing pretty advanced, technical stuff. When Armmy left, GS had tours lined up in both Japan and abroad for 2012, and needed a lead singer. For the Japan tour various singers (including Fuki) filled in for different shows, but they couldn’t find someone good enough who could also commit to the band full time For their overseas tour Hana (who was doing drums and vocals and was effectively the co-leader of the band) took the lead vocals on herself. She also happens to play several other instruments. Here is a live performance of their track Across The Now from a tiny venue in France (filmed as part of their 2012 overseas tour-this was Hana's first test at taking lead vocals whilst drumming): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_LnVAgqlE8g.html GS had had great chemistry with Fuki when she filled in for them, so while they were figuring out what to do with GS they contacted Fuki about doing a more metal project. This became Doll$Boxx. They wrote and recorded their first album at the end of 2012, then picked up GS again full time in 2013. This remains their main focus, and Fuki is busy with many projects including her main band Unlucky Morpheus, but they occasionally continue to perform together when their schedules permit. So Doll$Boxx can be considered a special project of GS.

My phone is off when I record. What you see is me making notes on the performance. I'm not sure where you think I fell asleep. Sorry to disappoint you.
