Same, because my first initial thought when Brahms first burst through the wall after the doll was smashed was because he liked Greta and saw she was in danger from her ex. Then, you know, the rest happened 😅
I remember there being a collective gasp from the audience the moment the doll shattered, but when that arm and whole grown man came out of the mirror everyone was like , “WHAT…..THE FUCK IS THAT?!” LMAO! The twist of this not being supernatural was so good and your reaction did NOT disappoint! This was a lot of fun, Alanda!
I saw this in cinema and was actually feeling sad for the little doll when I thought it was a little boy's ghost lol I was all "I would adopt him and take care of him!!" and then a grown man popped outta the wall and I immediately went "NOPE"
I low key regret not watching this movie in theaters because I would’ve loved to see how the audience reacted to the plot twists in real time. It must have been wild lol 😂
The twist in this movie had me falling out of my chair. I was fully expecting a Chucky or Annabelle rip off where the doll is alive or possessed. Um, no. When the REAL Brahms reveals himself, I absolutely lost my mind. "Oh, my GOD, HE'S IN THE F*CKING WALLLLLLS!" 😂 I did not see that coming in any way.
"There's even a stove. He cooks." 😅 Love your reactions, as always. My experience watching this movie was so different and it's nice to see how others, like you, react to it.
37:15 THE greatest horror reaction I’ve ever seen!!! TRUE terror! Love it! NO FAKING on this channel and it’s great!!! This reaction was amazing , zzzavid’s reaction of this is awesome too. Thanks for the comedic relief in a rough time in my life missing my daughters. 💜
Yass, I was waiting for this one! The scene of him climbing out of the wall had my friends and I screaming in the theater 😂. Thank you for your continued service of scaring yourself for our entertainment ❤
"Girl, you need to throw up, then pull yourself together and run for it!" You killed me in that moment! 😂 When you announced this movie, I knew you'd be gagged when they revealed Brahman was a man living in the walls! Did not disappoint! 😅 I think The Boy has one of the best twist, and it was so unexpected because you just think it's a haunted doll movie. The sequel isn't very good, but I can't say why without spoiling it. So maybe if you watch that you can just have fun with it.
"I would NOT look into the glassy eyes of that ceramic demon for all the rubies in Agrabah." 😂😂😂 EDIT: 36:45-37:20 this has become my favorite reaction to anything ever LMAO
This may have just became my favourite reaction vid from Alanda so far. Her reactions from 36:54 onwards were just brilliant and so hilarious. Not only was she freaked out, she was freaking clicking, clucking and gagging.😂😂😂
I remember seeing this in theaters in high school with my dad and my friend. The whole way through, we were all laughing at the jumpscares thinking it was another paranormal doll movie...But when Brahms climbed out of the wall my friend and I were so genuinely disturbed. For all the critiques this film gets, I still think that's one of the most well done twists. Nobody expected it, and the actors of course were beyond phenomenal! The actor who played adult Brahms needs...so many awards. He was so disturbingly creepy and horrifying. And Cole too...Very very realistic portrayal of a narcissistic controlling abuser. Obviously Lauran is sheer perfection in whatever she does lol, but the entire cast was amazing, especially for there only being six characters (plus the voice we hear Greta talking to over the phone and the driver.)
I’m so happy you finally reacted to this movie! Yea the parents knew and purposely hid Brahms from the cops. They are the main villains of this movie to me 😅 the beginning was a foreshadowing when the wall grabbed her neck in the dream… crazy
right? am I the only one who thought brahms is the way he is because of his parents horrible raising? making him live in the walls, seemingly either a detrimental lack of discipline or making him live life like a child. because a man does not turn out like that for no reason. the parents have a big responsibility in this, it seems like they babies their son, never told him no, and never let him grow up and learn. i don't know how much I can fault brahms when he's been completly isolated all his life and never taught how to be a good adult grown person
It's the re-watchability for me... I can keep coming back to Alanda's posts and never get bored. I ain't lying when I say I've seen more than 50% of her reactions 3 times or more. 😯
That grown hand coming out of the wall after that child’s voice. NO! I have a friend who worked as a nanny for a couple of years and is still scarred from the end of this movie. We still affectionately call each other Brahmsy every once and a while 😂.
"when brahms hear you fucking, he gone try to kill somebody!" 🤣🤣🤣 That was a line right there! I'm sorry to say but i was downright tickled when you were freaking out seeing the adult brahm, you squared up and everything! 😂 Also i like your plaid bow on your sweater, very unique! Can't wait for the next upload ❤
I think one of my favorite Alanda running gags is when she is vehemently against a character (usually a man), and about halfway she switches up because the final girl is on one and starts rooting for them to get away in one piece.
The castle where this movie was filmed at is only a few minutes from my house. In reality, not only is it not in England, but rather Victoria, Canada on Vancouver Island; it's also not in the middle of nowhere, but actually in the middle of the city. It's also bit smaller than some of the wide shots would make you believe. Still huge and you have to turn your neck up completely in order to get a clear view of the top, but nevertheless smaller than the movie suggests. And as usual: A terrific reaction, Alanda! You really are the best reaction channel on RU-vid!
Girl there are no words for how priceless your reaction was to the Brhams twist!!!! I was anticipating it the whole time but it was even better than I could have imagined. You need to react to more moives with plot twists.😄
I always found it funny how she was like impossible when Brahms came out the wall like she can believe the spirit of a child is possessing therefore animating a porcelain doll but not that the real life child survived the fire that had said to have killed him and had been living in the walls for decades.
I love slow pace horror movies like this. They slowly create this constant tention that never leaves. As I get older, I like them even more, especially when they're put together well. Alanda knocks another great reaction out the park! Ceramic demon. Lol.
If you haven’t already watched, I think you’d really enjoy The Others - great cast (Nicole Kidman!), great story and really heavy on the suspense! Thanks for the amazing reaction as always, I’d heard a lot of underwhelming things about this movie, but it stressed me tf out😂
I just wanted to let you know I was having a horrible day. Physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Your foreword at the beginning of the video really touched me and was exactly what I needed to hear, when I needed to hear it. Your videos always make me smile and laugh, but your reactions in this one were priceless! 🤣 Perfect timing! You really cheered me up. 😊 Thank you for all of your awesome content! 💕
The way I felt watching this reaction was just like it was when I first saw this movie. It went from being fun and scary to frightening and disturbing. No one saw that plot twist coming! This is definitely going on my list of top fav Alanda reaction. She was really going through it! 🤣
Your reaction to the real Brahms had me dying 🤣 the noises you were making and then the “I’m gonna vomit!” And to top it off “where did you get that face on your face?!” 🤣
alanda you really are the top tier of reaction channels, every video is such a good time. this movie was rotted and definitely a wild ride, love a good twist 🤩
6:36 I almost spit out my coffee. SCREAMING. "I'm doll sitter slash rat disposer?!" 😭😭😭 37:13 best reaction ever 🤣🤣 "There's even a stove, he cooks." I can't with this reaction lmao During this movie my first thought was someone in the walls because of the father talking about rats in them, but as it went on I really started to believe maybe the doll was the son or maybe possessed. Either way, I enjoyed it still! And this reaction made me like it even more (as always) lol
Absolutely the most fun movie reaction I've ever watched. I couldn't wait for your reaction when Brams came out through the broken mirror.. So funny! Love how they made the audience think the doll was haunted. When in reality it was just a creepy man living in the walls.. Great plot twist.. 💯
This was so freaking funny to watch! Your commentary and eagerness to escape danger are fabulous! To top it all off, I had forgotten he was an actual person, so I was equally flabbergasted when that happened. 🤣
This was a fantastic birthday present! So happy you're finally watching this. I like it for many reasons, including Rupert Evans, aka "Grocery Man," he's a (handsome) great actor.
I'm guessing adult Brahms might have got badly burnt in the fire and that's why he wears the porcelain-looking mask? Probably traumatised by what he went through as well and it made him twisted in the head? But yep, a scary apparition for sure!
I love the way you delivered the "Wants me to what?" at 8:11. You're so fun to watch. Also, I legit spit my drink out at 11:57 and had to pause the video to clean the screen. HAHA! I love your videos so much. They have really helped me smile during some tough times.
Every time I hear Alanda wish us all positivity & nothing but love I just wanna come through my phone & hug her 🥹❤️ thank you for wishing us all to flourish
On a fourth watch and I think at the beginning the father was dropping a lot of hints before they left. He said, 'Whatever it looked like on the outside, our son is here.' Of course, because of horror and the idea of ghosts, no one would immediately take that to mean the son was alive and still in the house.
Interesting facts about The Boy (2016) Lauren Cohan played an American nanny traveling to the United Kingdom for her job as a babysitter in the film. Ironically, while Cohan is an American-born citizen, she has had an English accent since she spent her adolescence in England. She hides her accent in this film. (2) The main plot is the same in the short film Familia colateral (2007). In both films, a babysitter accepts taking care of a toy to get paid, and strange things begin to happen. (3) The film was originally titled "In a Dark Place" and had Jane Levy in the lead role. (4) Cast members actually used the doll ("Brahms") to prank each other on the set. On one occasion, one of the cast members propped the doll up outside of the other actor's bathroom in their trailer to scare them. Upon seeing this, they hurled the doll outside of their trailer and the crew had to repair it and make a replacement doll.
The only thing to get me to watch this after skipping over it on a nightly basis on Netflix for seven years is *the* Alanda giving it a co-sign. Thanks for the weekly shot of good feels and at least one priceless look of befuddlement. ❤️
