@@dolls2remembermy 2 1980's maxie dolls should be delivered to me in a few days. I actually got 2 of them for my birthday but 3 weeks ago 1 of them broke. The neck peg broke. But i have another maxie doll. She is in good condition. Her hair is long blonde and thick. The other maxie that broke had very thin rooted crimped hair. I washed it and conditioned it. But as i began to brush her hair it started coming out. So now my niece who got them for me said she will get me 2 more. That's why when i buy something i always buy 2 of whatever i buy. Just in case.

Angelus brand leather paint would work for that costume repair. I love the brithney dolls. Great haul

@@dolls2remember Angelus leather repair filler and then can match the paint. It works on leather vinyl and pleather. I'd do a test first. It is expensive paint though so there might be other options like fabric modpodge in layers. Trial and error.

Luv,I’m a huge Barbie collector. I have a handful of generation girl dolls in box out of box,most I’ve had for years . I love to take them out of the box only because the box sometimes causes more damage than outside the box. Unless you have a great place to store them I don’t leave any in there box,but I do keep the boxes for repackaging. I’m sure you know exactly what I mean when you open a doll,that you paid top dollar for,only for the doll to disintegrate the second you open the box or they are sticky .. yeah gross.

Ugh yes!!!! It can be disappointing when things deteriorate over time!:( but I am excited to learn how to do repairs and preserve these special dolls as much as possible! What are your favorite generation girl?
