i trim them by boiling water on the stove, dunking the stand in for abt 30 seconds or so or however long you think is good (dunk in just the base of the stand and hold on the stick part) and then cutting a straight line on each side of the stand right after taking it out the water with scissors :) it’ll be hot so i recommend holding on to it with a rag while your trimming so you don’t hurt yourself ! (i’ve tried cutting without putting it in hot water and it just cracked) sorry if this is so over explained but i hope this helps :D
