Doll Repaint - CREEPILY LOVESICK DOLL COLLAB - The Asset, The Shape of Water - OOAK Doll 

Righteo, this is an important pinned comment so please read this first. I will know if you have read it, depending on what you choose to comment so… do or do not at your own discretion. This comment was on my Lady Dimitrescu video, and I am reposting it here because, well it’s easier. When mixing Apoxie sculpt together, please wear gloves. I DO, do this, you will see me doing it later in the video. However, just because you haven’t seen it every time, does not mean I don’t wear gloves when mixing. The instructions on the pot do tell you to do this, and I have seen enough artists who do use this to know that it is very important to wear gloves when mixing. However, once it is mixed it is then up to me if I want to wear gloves to sculpt. Now I am 100% not telling anyone to abandon the glove ship once the stuff is mixed. In fact is it strongly advised to continue to wear gloves when sculpting to reduce exposure to the material, I urge anyone who wants to use it to make their decision wisely, and not just because they saw someone on RU-vid not wearing gloves. I have made my decision to sculpt without gloves based on a lot of things. I hate gloves and things on my hands, including the material itself. I like to feel the material when I’m using it, but I also constantly wash my hands when using it. I prefer to do that, than use gloves, which is my choice. I also have a very low exposure to this stuff because I don’t use it a lot, I still have the same pot of Apoxie I bought in 2017 when I first started this hobby. I also know my skin and I am not prone to skin allergies. In this video I made a huge effort to wear them more, as I had more exposure to it. That being said, under no circumstances should you base your decision on mine. I feel like mentioning this multiple times, and drawing attention to it should deter you from using this as an excuse not to wear gloves. I will not be responsible for your choice. I do try to wear gloves in this video, because I don’t want to promote not wearing them, but for the times that I don’t wear them… it does not mean that you should do this. Please use your own common sense, and base your decision off your own circumstances. He is so beautiful! In the movie you see him first and are meant to be grossed out by him but eventually you begin to see his beauty, the way his body is shaped, his lips looking seductive, his eyes showing pain, sadness, and love. You captured that perfectly. I cried during the movie at how beautiful he was and I now have tears in my eyes looking at your reproduction. Thank you for reminding me that I need to re-watch that movie!

I have ALWAYS loved this movie so much ever since I was 15 years old and never gets old. And I was always into mythical creatures how beautiful they are. Especially The Asset how amazing, cute, dangerous yet beautiful he is. And always loved him. Actually had a crush on him. But what you did, you did truly amazing artwork on him. Very artistic and so detailed. Love it.

Man, Doug Jones is SO talented with playing these heavily prosthetic/makeup creatures and really bringing them to life and making them feel like real creatures/people! I am also a big fan of Del Toro's films and this one is great, though my favorite is probably still Pan's Labyrinth (Jones plays the weird eyeball monster and the Faun in that film)

I'm searching high and low for more doll customization artists as I LOVE watching these videos, but I'm finding it incredibly difficult as I have sensory issues and cannot handle fast motion, and so many doll customizers use so much fast motion. Please, please consider using real time motion the way etellan and Mr. Super Customs do now. I know you and many artists are incredibly talented and if love to be able to watch that talent unfold.

Oh my gosh he looks amazing.I know what you meant about the film.At first you did not know what to think about him but you really got to like him a lot and feel for him too for his predicament .You really got involved with the film..From what I remember he looks so much like him.The blue irradescent paint you used has really given him that wet fish type skin look.and you have done an amazing job of all the sculpting to make him look like him.I am glad you painted his face I think if you had sculpted the lines and marks on it would have looked heavier.This way it’s so much more natural looking.It’s hard to believe looking at him now what you used to create him..Well done he’s Breathtaking and very convincing one of the best movie models I think I have seen ,especially made from a doll or two lol 🥰

The film is great, I just wish I hadn't watched it with my mom, not since 'Get Carter' did want to die of embarrassment. I saw it at the store, heard people really like it, (one saying it was probably the only prequel we'll get for Abe Sapien) and figured why not, bought it and waited till Pizza Night to watch it with my mom. I was not expecting to have to explain why the main lady set a timer at the start of the film. I personally like the idea of the ending the movie implied, much like Pan's Labyrinth
