Halle Bailey as a THE Little Mermaid doll is so beautiful. I'm so happy with how they did her justice through these dolls omg!!! and the sisters pack is just wowwww !
I am so impressed with these Mattel dolls 👏🏻👏🏻 It shows too that Mattel can put effort into mermaid dolls and it shocks me that a doll can be all plastic but look so damn good just by printing on detail and shiny glitter stuff ❤
When I was a kid I saw the Little Mermaid 6 times in theaters. I saw it with my mom, but then all my friends asked me if I wanted to go see it with them. The only other movie I've seen multiple times in theaters was Titanic and I think that was only 3 times. My first two CDs ever were the Metallica Black Album and The Little Mermaid. I don't remember owning any Little Mermaid dolls, but I remember owning barbies at that time.
I’m most excited about the faces on the mermaids in the multi pack. Thinking about rerooting projects. But if the price is too high, I might try to get some that are on sale used.

Regarding the sisters I found this information online: "Ariel's six sisters have different names in this film: Mala, Karina, India, Caspia, Perla, and Tameka. Instead of their names all starting and ending with A, all of their names just end with A, with the exception of Ariel."

To me the sisters win on the face mold, the pastel purple girl, and the pink one, say whaaaaat, the Ursula and King Triton dolls meh need work. thank you for another great video Arjen.

I've always been interested in the lore of the sisters, especially after the tv show. I'm in love with the new movie. The new sisters are so impressive with all the different fish patterns.
This movie was released the same month and year I was born! As an island kid who spent alot of time around the water I was obsessed with mermaids. When the rumors about a live action came out almost 10 years ago I never believed it would finally happen!!! 😭

The first Ariel is available for preorder now and is out for sale on the twenty-third of April in the States. The others will roll out as the movie opening approaches. To be honest, there’s far too much plastic used with most of these dolls. It could be due to the fact that they are meant to be played with. Little girls are going to want them as bath time and pool toys I am certain. The beautiful Ariel with that gorgeous water shaped stand is probably more for collectors. I really hope the movie is a success as there’s been so much ridiculous controversy about it. Thanks Carol! Yeah that controversy is just, 🤦🏼♂️ that did not help bring back my faith in humanity.. But yeah, think most of them are designed with the idea of LOTS AND LOTS of playtime in the bath tub 😅 I’m just really hoping to see some more collector versions 🙏🏻💖✨
I think the dolls are very pretty. Maybe there will be a playset like a boat with the little friends. They will have to have the other characters if they are making the sisters.

Well, when I was little I watched the dubbed version in Dutch but not anymore no ☺️, Over here you have the option to watch original english or dubbed. Dubbed usually plays during the daytime when the kids go 😆

To be honest the budget Ariel has the best tail design. All the the fabric tails look cheep and poorly designed. What would have been nice is if instead of fabric tails or plastic they did rubber tails simmer to the mermaid fantasy collection in 2002. As a child I loved these dolls!
Can not wait for all these dolls! i agree i think ursula is way too much plastic. the top at least could have been a fabric top and i also don't like the jacket and collar but i also bet that was comfort thing for melissa in the movie. I think Halie is gonna be AMAZING!!!!!!!!! and i also think we haven't seen anything else in the way of doll merch because everything we've seen we already saw in the previews. i can imagine they don't want to reveal, in doll form, Ariel's pink gown or the wedding dress. also we know we are getting her but we have only seen a leaked image of the head sculpt for the 12" Vanessa doll. and i also think its because we haven't been Vanessa in the previews at all. so I think that's why we've only seen the singing doll from the disney store. but im sure they will be sooo much more. im also really hoping for a 17" Halie as Ariel doll!!!!!

I'm probably the only collector that isn't the biggest fans of mermaids, especially the ones with molded on clothing. I got two Mermaid High dolls cheap to try them out and I rarely touch them.
@Barbination They were like $7 each that's the reason I bought them. They only lasted a year. I like them better then Mermaze because they don't slwsys have to be mermaids.
Queen Selina maybe like the original story character and by original story I mean Hans Christian Andersen though idk I mean Vanessa is it and she sorta took that role but in the original story he marries someone else thinking she was the one actually saved him cause she showed up right after. Be interesting to see who she is and her role cause I expect this to not be a carbon copy of the Disney animated version

I hope it’s a “almost” new retelling but not how the original HCA went cause I mean there are SO many retelling of his story in movies some same some with changes so I hope they just come up with something that unpredictable but still amazing. It’s funny they change all of Ariel’s sisters looks and their names. Yet they kept Ariel’s name the same and trying to keep the live action black version like the animated version. Also does that mean king triton slept with multiple women and has a different baby mama for each of his daughter?
They're not though? Cuz there is a two pack of Ariel and Eric and what those actors meant is fleshing those characters more than the animated counterparts since the movie is gonna be longer

I don’t like the movie I love the anime and the girl In the movie is not beautiful like Ariel In anime and she has no red hair like Ariel 😒☹️ But the Barbie is beautiful maybe I buy for my daughter 😍
OK here’s a negative comment for those sister dolls some of those mermaid tails look like cheap kites from the dollar store I hope they look better in person but I love the diversity and the dolls and the lavender haired one is my favorite too
