I’m in my 50’s. Since the 70’s I have been mixing a spoon of conditioner with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in a good sized spray bottle. I braid my hair and sit in the sun for 30 minutes twice a month. Different numbers of braids. This gives my brownish black hair beautiful sun streaks.
I use baking soda and vinegar once a month in all my drains. It fizzes beautifully, and I add a little bit of lemon juice and Bam clean drains! It lasts a long time when you buy big thing of vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice all from Dollar Tree. Not sure if allowed or helpful!
Ha! I had ordered what I THOUGHT was just a small package of Borox (for my laundry) from the local supermarket when this whole fake "virus" started and when I saw what they gave me, lol, my eyes were all 😳! It was a huge BOX of Boron! (Same thing), but had no idea how MUCH of it I was going to get (and no, I had ordered a BUNCH of other stuff at the same time, the price wasn't crazy high to notice, but dayum! 😝 I did a quick search on Boron uses (my bathroom drain wouldn't DRAIN), so figured I'd try it out. Just add it with salt and vinegar down the drain, then let your sink run on hot for ~15mins. Fkr worked like a CHARM!!! 🤣 Still have this bigass box and drain is wonky again, but I ran out of vinegar 😬. Tried the other 2 (jus Boron and salt), but that no worky 😐. And now I'm out of salt, too, lol-but I really suggest trying it out because I was shocked at how WELL it all worked that first time!!
Vivian, dont buy them, use Baking Soda and plain vinegar for your drains, works wonderful, I use that one a month on all my drains and it works just great.
I pour baking soda down and then heat up on top of the stove the vinegar and poof it opens up and does the trick...I pour alot of soda down or whatever...then the vinegar....you don't need to measure...I dont...I just do it....
@@jenicepye2997 I use 1/2 cup if baking soda and 1 cup vinegar on top and let it fizz & bubble wait 3 min and pour real hot water down the drain, i use it in all my drains 1 a month. and my drains are clear.
@@kristibrown5899Same here. If your hair is medium to dark it looks more orange, though. Best to stick with dark blonde/very light bown hair. Purple rinse and purple shampoos/conditioner will tone down orange.
None of your videos are showing on my feed, I completely forgot about this channel and then you popped into my mind, I thought you had stopped. I searched and found you're still uploading! Couldn't be happier
It works ok on bathtubs and counters but does not work on tough dried grease/ food like in pots and pans or oven. it does work like an Ajax or comet paste on " fresh" stains or splatters but not as efficient as Bar Keepers cleaners.
I actually used it to clean the interior of my sons car. He hadn't detailed it since he bought it 2 years ago and I thought I'd surprise him while he was out of town. It worked a small MIRACLE on that car! WHO KNEW his interior was BEIGE??? 😅
Hey Vitches (if you know, you know) let's share Vivian's videos and get her to 500k, she deserves it. It doesn't seem like that long ago when we were working to get her to 100k, so we should be able to do this quickly. Plus I think it would be a great gift for her because her daughter should have given birth by now (and her mom's been ill) and she's still putting out these videos like crazy. I'm pretty sure she'd rather be spending time with her new grandbaby, but nope she's working hard giving us what we want!!!
As a Cosmetologist I would not recommend using Sun In, it contains metals and if you get certain chemical services done it will destroy your hair. Use with caution. (The company may have changed certain elements in the last couple decades, but I would still advise to use with caution. Also, if you do use it and go to a Salon to get a service done, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell your stylist that you have used this product!) 😊
If you haven’t tried the honey pot company pads and liners, I would highly recommend. The company is black woman owned, the products are organic, and the herbal infused ones are amazing.
I use to pay outrageous prices for hair color and found my color at the Dollar Tree for $1.25 and can't tell any difference between the most expensive one to the one from Dollar Tree and now that is where I always purchase hair color from. Sometimes their products work the same or even better than what you pay full price for. Thanks for another Dollar Dupes videos I enjoy them!
Because you’re paying for the brand name. Dollar Tree products are not name brand, but they practically have the same ingredients as the big companies.
Also the dollar tree makeup setting spray, with pink label works better than some high end ones I've tried, especially since I still have to wear a mask at work
Vivian - thank you so much for testing the new b-pure organic sanitary pads. I bought a set for my pre-teen granddaughter in the hope they'd work. Thanks for the confirmation!
Essential oils can be really irritating to the private parts, I would highly recommend finding an alternative if you’re able to. I like L brands because they’re organic and not tested on animals and all that good stuff, but I do understand it’s hard to beat the dollar tree price point. No judgement just sharing my favorite :)
I remember Sun in from the 60's. It works as well as lemon juice for lightening blonde hair. I only colored my hair a few times for Halloween. I went around with a green hue for almost a month after using wash out color 🤣 When you go on your cruise, take a checked bag the restrictions are mostly for carry-on. Check with your airline and cruise line before packing. Some stuff you just can't take at all. I'm planning a cruise for next year and they are pretty strict about some stuff you wouldn't think would matter because of fire safety laws.
Talking about Sun-in reminded me of when I rinsed my hair, after shampooing it, with beer and then setting it with giant wiry rollers. It actually gave my fine hair more body and the set lasted longer. I don't know the science behind it. My hair would smell like beer until it dried. My step father wasn't happy about my using his beer on my hair. Made the bathroom smell like a brewery, too.
You can pour beer on roses etc and you should see them sing....my husband did this neighbor's would stare like how could you all pour all that beer on roses etc....
That's actually pretty funny not the styling your hair part but the bathroom smelling like a brewery after comment and your step dad being ticked off about "his" beer being used on your head! Thanks for the laugh! Lol! 😂😂😂
You don't need either of the drain tablets. You could also try denture tabs or dishwasher tabs...whats the price on these? Or make some baking soda with citric acid from the canning section. Add only enough water to one of them to make a wet sand and then add the other and press into an ice tray.
Vivian, Vivian, Vivian, u no u wrong for saying "Before you realize it you will have a stack of Dollar Tree fizzy tablet causing a drain problem. That's also frigginh hilarious.
I use baking soda and vinegar followed by hot water to do the same exact thing! Things I already have in my house! Using abrasives in you pipes too much can cause damage to your pipes though!
Vivian! I would read what the ingredients are on the drain cleaner tablets, If they are Sodium Bicarbonate, (baking soda) and Acetic Acid (vinegar) you can save even more!! Back in my youth, we used to use Lemon Juice on the hair, then some sun time, to lighten things, (I think that was what sun in used to be made with, I forget, it was the 70's after all!)
LOL, been there with Sun- in, did that. =) In the early-mid 80's. 1 time I permed it after I sun-in'd it... IT WAS SOOOO BURNED. Had to cut all my hair off! I was in Junior high... Never used it again. Don't get a perm after you sun-in. LOL.
I bought the Dollar Tree brand pads and I like the liners and the regular one. The overnight was not for me because it was too long but also the smell is great for changing in public restrooms because you have a nice lavender smell do nobody knows that your changing. Also it keeps you smelling fresh. 😊
Late '80s-early '90s I was all about the hair lightening!! We used lemon juice instead of peroxide though. 🤷🏼♀️ It worked 😊 Thanks for your great videos!! 💜💜💜
Omg Sun In☀️🤷♀️ In the 90's as a teenager I use to use one of those plastic highlight caps, pull my hair through, drench my chuncks of hair with Sun In and then chill for hours in my backyard at the pool along with the brown bottle of tan oil thickly coated all over cuz you know, the more the better lol... the 90's I miss you 💔
I have the sea salt spray! I think it is a really good deal if you have a hair texture that it works on. The idea is that your hair looks the way it does if you've been swimming in salt water. It also is similar to when you work up a sweat and your hair looks good but you know it's dirty and you have to shower or you know sexy bed head
For fizzy drain cleaner, dump a little baking soda in the drain, a drop of 2 of essential oil, and pour vinegar in there. After 15 minutes, dump in a small pot of boiling water. I've done that for years and as long as your sink isn't totally clogged, it works.
Sun In.......I used it in the 60's!!!! The whole thing with Sun In is that it only works WITH THE SUN! Never heard of it working with a hair dryer. Spray a small section, and comb it in.
To clean my kitchen drain, like every few months I got to DT and get a toilet bowl brush. BRAND NEW, I stick it under that black piece with some cleaner and just try to scrub around in there gently bust until the brush is clean. Run and brush with hot water. I always toss the brush after one use because it’s gross. But the drain smells so much better.
