@@cowaburber it's the edges...so sharp. I've never seen someone do square nails with a legit 90 degree angle. Like it's usually gently filed a little so it's not an accidental weapon
@@cowaburberthe tip is also flared out a bit as well, so it’s not following her natural C curve. Therefore, it doesn’t look like a natural extension of your nail because your free edge isn’t going to become wider than your nail plate when it grows out.
Same once this set starts popping off or I soak them I have to find an alternative! I love treating myself but every time I look at the price I think about groceries. Everything is so expensive so I'd rather spend that money another way.
Read the actual instructions.. this person did not at all. There was bo Missing brush. Its kept in the cleaner bottle and she didnt do the kit right a all. You use the activator on the wet gel glue not wait for it to dry.. sheesh this woman is passing such misinformation
Def good for quick temporary set but not very strong at all, I’ve tried multiple sets many different times with new kits each time and still not that great long term. But they’re super cute and worth it for a fancy dinner or dance or short weekend trip.
I used this kit when I was on vacation, to look pretty for a fancy dinner, it was perfect! 🤩 Anyways... You use the brush in the cleaner bottle and put it back in the cleaner bottle when you're done! 🎉 That way the activator doesn't solidify on the brush!!
@@vianeyjiselle the brush cleaner is there yes but we are talking about the 'brush' in the cleaner that is suppose to be used in the activator interchangeably. She stated she had to get a brush herself to complete the set.
Yeah she did not take the time to read the instructions or she would have done a lot better job it wouldn't have had it all over her fingers needless to say that it just looked like they were razors
Yeah, this is what astonishes me and it’s not just her, but other influencers do it all the time as well! If you’re going to make a video doing a product review and you don’t take the time to “read” the instructions and then state issues you have with the product that are really only issues because YOU chose not to “read” the instructions, how is that fair to not only your followers, but the manufacturers of the product?!? I mean, they may or may not be paying you because I’ve seen it both ways, which it’s worse when you’re being compensated for the review, but even when you’re not, it’s still unfair to the business! I don’t know, 🤷🏽♀️ just my opinion! 🤔💭
When filling nails - even plastic nails - always file in ONE direction, towards the center of the nail. File at an ANGLE, never hold your file perfectly perpendicular to your nail or you'll fray the threads. With fake nails finish with a downward single swipe and wipe the excess frayed plastic away. Otherwise your nails will catch on things. I've worn press ons for years during times I've been growing my nails out and they do NOT have to have plastic fraying after filing.
I love the nails but id use diff polish . UV gel polish then cure it in lamp. Would look great ...or just a top coat of UV gel polish to cure and seal the look to help make it last a long time ❤ i like classic square french
I actually use that exact one all the time. If you read the instructions the brush that is in the cleaner you use for the activator also. And, it does come with a nail file. A blue and pink one! 😊
💡READ THE DIRECTIONS. Notice that there are 3 different bottles in that kit. The brush isn’t missing…you’re supposed to use the brush that’s in other bottle of liquid that came with the kit. She didn’t exactly do the process correctly but the kit does work well. I buy a similar kit by Kiss from any store that sells it. I buy the kit that has both the natural nail tips & the french tips because I mostly use the french tips. I have been doing my own nails this way for a year + and I LOVE IT. My natural nails are healthier because they’re NOT being filed down & abused (like they do everyone’s nails at the nail salon). The kit is easy to travel with AND I can usually find the kit at most stores (CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Publix etc) if I need a quick fix. I recommend you try it.👍🤩💝
@@KarmicKonversationz - 👍Yes. The first few times when I was learning & I didn’t do such a good job and they did last as long. I’m really good now. I don’t flood my cuticles anymore and they last. I change them every 2-3 weeks. I put on a 2-3 coats of the glue & activator. It makes a nice natural covering without being too thick. I keep my nails professionally short length (it’s just my style & preference) and because I play the piano and I hate to hear the sound of nails on the keys and on the computer keyboard. I never plan to give the salons my money and time again. My nails are healthy. I always get compliments. I hope Kiss doesn’t change the formula, product or price. I love the kit. I wear only the French tips and give my friend rhe natural tips because she likes to wear different colored nail polish. 💅 💅I have a friend who uses the kit bow too and she keeps her nails long. She doesn’t trim them down like I do and she’s very happy with the kit as well.
I used to get this to protect my nails, but it started making a crackling pattern like crackle paint on some thing that’s rusting. That’s why I say be careful with it. I don’t know if they made a new formulation. All I know is this is been out for a while and I tried it.I’m gonna say probably at least five years ago. If you want to help protect your nails and keep them from chipping specifically, I recommend sally Hansen hard as nails.
Thank you so much I had to search on my history for this short because I’ve been doing this based on your video and it definitely last longer with the activator and brush on glue thank u :)
