Hi! This is the only pump I ever use. It is the Qualatex Dual Action Hand Inflator. Difficult to obtain unless you buy directly from the Qualatex website or you can find it on Amazon.

Hi there. I bought these balloons at some different dollar stores in my area, including “99¢ Only” and “Dollar Tree”.

Hi! I recommend creating this as close to the event as possible to ensure the luster of balloons as well as the structural stability of the design. What I do, is I create it the night before the event - then I wrap it up in big plastic bags (airtight) to keep the air from dulling the balloons and slowing down the process of the air molecules escaping through the latex molecules’ gaps. You can make it earlier, but it won’t have the same “wow factor” you will want to impress your friends and family with.

It depends on what you mean by “last”. Sitting around in your home, an arch or column can easily last a week - though the balloons luster will fade and the surface will take on a more “matte” appearance. The balloons slowly shrink over several days but will still impress people who rarely see such structures even four or five days in. Surprisingly, most of the time you won’t even get a single pop or deflation. I have even done weather testing on different columns and arches and they hold up after heavy rain or frigid temperatures. I tend to think of arches as I do of cut flowers- very lovely, and can be immensely appreciated, but their aesthetics dissipate rapidly, and the most enjoyment can be rendered from them when they are most visually pleasing.

They usually cost about five dollars each.

Haha, well, create a bright green column with the top and bottom quad slightly larger than all the center quads. This represents the warp pipes Mario travels through. Then, just buy a Super Mario Mylar and attach it to the top of your “pipe”. Easy and effective.

I inflate all of my balloons the night before, store them overnight in large airtight plastic bags, and then construct the decoration itself the same day of event. This ensures the absolute best quality luster and shine on the balloons and a low probability of inadvertent popping and/or deflation. I personally recommend assembling as close to an event as possible as the balloons begin to take on a muted, grungy and clouded appearance with continued exposure to open air. If I have a lot of work to do the day of an event, I will straight up construct everything the night before and be out the door in the morning feeling breezy and unstressed for the day. Absolutely! All of my columns and arches are freestanding. Once you get the hang of the ribbon technique, you can make so many beautiful balloon decorations with no pole or base plate. Thanks for watching!

Yes, dollar store pumps are wretched abominations, haha! What you need is the “ Qualatex dual action hand pump” which you may have seen before, with its instantly recognizable neon green and pink color scheme. I must be honest and tell you that I only purchase my supplies via catalogue or online, so to obtain this pump you will likely have to do the same. Just search balloon pumps by Qualatex! Wrap the nozzle around a faucet by stretching the nozzle over it. Turn water on and fill to desired capacity. Remove nozzle carefully without letting any water squirt out. Tie a knot at the base of the nozzle. It’s just a repurposed water balloon. Thanks for your question!

Hi. Unfortunately, I did not. You can find pumps there - to be sure - but they are not high quality (unlike the balloons, which are). This green pump is the only one I ever use and is a dual action handheld inflator by Qualatex. Thank you for your question.

Well, the only pump I ever use is a Qualatex dual action hand Inflator. They can be purchased directly from the company website or on Amazon. Dollar store pumps can work but they require more pumps per balloon.
