Just watched this for the first time in May of 2022, and the pregnancy test one was great. “Do you know how pregnancy works?” Lol. Another great video. Fun seeing them in their earlier years of Vlogging.
You two are absolutely adorable! The pregnancy test thing made me laugh out loud... All of your ideas are great ones.. I also pack an extension cord for the state room, a tiny flashlight for emergencies, A deck of playing cards and a tiny chess set. Love your videos!
Nearly 4 years later, everything at the Dollar Tree is now $1.25. Love how y'all were using sanitizer and disinfecting wipes well before the covid pandemic. Just found y'all and will definitely be subscribing and watching y'all helpful information videos!
On our Alaska cruise on NCL in 2008, we thought it was great that they had sanitizer stations and would spray our hands. This made us realize that Cruise Ships were the Safest place to travel. And now, we still think that.
Over the counter medicine: acetaminophen (Tylenol) Naproxen (Aleve) Ibuprofen (Motrin) Anti-Itch creams, Sun Block, Aloe Vera Gel for Sunburn, Anti-Diarrheal (Imodium-AD), Laxatives or stool softener
FYI: Flush-able wipes are NOT really flush-able. They will clog the plumbing at a home. I know from experience. My plumbing backed up and after examining the problem, the plumber told me it was because of the wipes. The packages say they are flush-able and they will go down, BUT they will eventually clog the plumbing. I would ask the room steward it they are safe to flush on the ship.
On that worst jobs in the world show, they showed a city worker cleaning out a huge clog of wipes that hadn't disintegrated at all. He said this is a huge problem for cities everywhere. DON'T FLUSH WIPES!!
“With the exception of toilet paper, don’t put ANYTHING down the toilet that has not been through your mouth first.” Quote an old plumber and septic guy. That is why homes with garbage disposals have sewer line and septic problems. A little off topic but sewer systems are designed to handle human waste and not garbage. Keep this in mind at home too and you will not have a sewer back up.
Buy a package of shower caps , ( this things are also at the dollar tree! ) for your shoes!! Towel clips for lounge chairs on the deck!! I love your videos!
Always ask your room Stewart to give you extra shower caps even if you don’t use them throw them in your luggage they are a great item to add for packing your shoes for your next trip!
Instead of "flushable" wipes, which AREN'T...bring a small spray bottle of Witch Hazel, spray it on the T.P. and flush that. Love the glow-in-the-dark hand !
I use a small squirt of lotion on the TP. I even keep a tiny bottle (like the kind they give you at hotels) in my purse on a regular basis. The IS flushable.
I did love your hat! Good idea to bring triple atb ointment. I also over pack - bandaids, cold meds, anti-diarrhea, shower caps, small bottles to fill with my shampoo/conditioner, small hand cream, bottle of poo spray for your toilet so your poo smells good, (yes our dollar tree has this), tylenol, small packs of tissues, lanyard for cabin key card, note pads, hard candies, something to decorate your door to find it easier. Battery-powered candles, book light - oh the list goes on......plus most of what you got as well.
I have been watching some of your old videos cause I only found y’all about a year ago. Many of these items are almost mandatory these days. But wanted to say- you both had great hauls at the DT. Thanks for everything!!
Warm water and soap are better than the antibacterial stuff, but still good to have. It just does not work on c diff. You guys are funny and nice. Hydrocortisone crème for burns and itch. there is Dramamine too, so I have heard, I bring Canadian gravol. Advil, Tylenol, shower caps for shoes or for hair treatment, sunglasses, reading glasses, books, headphones, highlighter, water bottles (got 2 at our dollar store for water and whatever....lol) bandaids, small container of detergent, lightweight hair brush, hair ties, clips, toothpaste, shampoo conditioner, foamy, razors, (I use intuition style not found in dollar stores, they are great for showers). Floss, battery tea lights. We leave NB, January 25 for maine and fly out 26th and 27th is our first cruise of this vacay, second one is feb 3 ….3weeks in Florida, so excited. I try to pack as light as possible but have everything I need so I am not paying 5 bucks for a bandaid. Great video.
Been on 45 cruises and the beds have changed over the years to hard boards! I now take a foam topper (has to be new, still in package). Yea it might cost 75.00 but in the grand scheme of the cost of a cruise it’s WELL WORTH it for us to have 7 nights (or more) of restful sleep. I leave it when we disembark. I just put a tag on the outside wrapper and it goes with our luggage. It has ALWAYS made it to our room. We tip baggage handlers well. Never had an issue.
Always at the dollar tree buy a box of small baggies and a box of large baggies they’re always good to throw in your suitcase or your bag pack for incidental things that need to be sealed up ..especially a cookie or two when you’re going on an excursion! also bring along a small little pump bottle of liquid soap for the bathroom I don’t like the little bars of soap …when we leave on the last day to come home I always ask the room Seward if he would like to keep it because I hate to pack it in my suitcase.
Colapsable cube storage, clothes pins, towel clips, sunscreen, bath puffs (we pitch before we come home), toothbrushes, umbrellas (for port bag), sunglasses....I love dollar tree for cruise goodies!
I didnt think about the umbrella they are the small ones easy to carry I seen them the other day. I love to pack things I can use and throw away before leaving the ship, like bath sponges, toothpaste, toothbrushes, small deodorant, bar soap. Makes packing to leave alot easier.
Just to let people know, those "flushable" wipes are not actually flushable. They can clog up the delicate ship plumbing systems, so use a garbage can to dispose of them.
Jenny, you are so beautiful. It just had to be said! PS - spending some of my pandemic time, as a newbie to your channel, learning from your older videos! ty!!
Stumbled across this older video and was weirded out when i realized the Atari shirt in your video is the exact same shirt i had on while watching this video. 😮
"Do you know how pregnancy works?" I LOVE you Jenny!! But, Tony has a point... If you've been trying to get pregnant, you may want to bring along a test so you know if you can drink or not.
Wow- watching this in 2022. Lots of hand sanitizer, and wipes, even in 2018. Good for you. Can't decide #teamtony or #teamjenny sorry! Both had great ideas!
We had to watch this after you mentioned it on your latest video. I always record my Dollar Tree hauls on my channel. Would you still buy the same things for a cruise now that you’re an expert. Great video. TFS
The only thing I don't recommend are the lavender scented hand sanitizer from Dollar tree for the cruise. They reek. lol I took them to work and it reminds me of old laundry. lol
This is something I spend money on. Bath and Bodyworks $1.99 for sanitizer and they smell soooo great! I don't wear perfume in hot weather but I do use scented lotion and if I need to freshen up my deodorant I'll do a quick waterless shower before I put it on 😂
I thought that’s not how that works and then Jenny says “Do you know how pregnancy works?” Obviously not. Lol! I added a couple of these to my pile of stuff to pack. Thanks for sharing!
Us girls have to stick together so #TeamJenny but you both had great picks. We always take a pop up hamper. I love not having to put our dirty clothes back into our luggage during the cruise.
Darena Dorsey A lot of people bring those pop-up laundry hampers to put their dirty clothes in. What do you do with all the dirty clothes when it's time to pack up at the end of the cruise? Thanks for a reply.
We just pick a suitcase and put all the dirty clothes back in it together. We like to take trash bag and pack them in that first in case anything is stinky or wet.
Love it and great ideas!!! I always bring zip lock bags - - - - at the end - wet stuff in them to get off the ship all sizes - they are great... This is a great idea - I think I'll get my husband to go to Dollar Tree with me and see what he picks.
I am so glad I subscribed to your channel. I absolutely love your sense of humor. I love your passion for cruising. I don’t have that passion for it yet but I imagine that will happen after our first cruise in March of 2022. I find your posts very informative and comical. Thank you so much!
I so love Jenny and how she tries so hard not to laugh! Everything $1 store is what it’s called lol. The #prego test was hilarious. Do you know how pregnancy works? 🥰
