Hahaha. Thanks! The drill part triggered a lot of people. I was fully aware my hand was behind where I was drilling, so I was being very careful, applying almost no pressure and drilling very slow (the footage was sped up, which made it appear a lot more reckless.) Hahaha.
Thank you! It's working well. I made a tiny little notch in the clay where each of the existing numbers was and centered the numeral that I drew on that notch, so even dripping, they are technically lined up where they are supposed to be.

Aw, actually I don't. Not sure which one looks like that, if it's the one on my left arm, that's a fox and my right arm sleeve is just a bunch of ocean creatures. I do love labyrinth though. I need to incorporate that into my book somewhere!
Maybe one day I could go over them. I have a lot. Hahaha. Don't be nervous. Start small. See how you feel. It's a little like marriage where yes, you should absolutely go into it with the intention to have it forever (so make sure it's something that means a lot) BUT... worst case scenario, there are ways out. I'm actually comparing divorce to laser tattoo removal.🤦♀️ Hahaha.
The clock turned out Amazing!!!!! 🤩 Especially with all the time and work you put into it and it paid off 100%. I Love It!!!!! And Phoebe is so Adorable, she looks just like you. Nice job with your first Dollar Store Makeover Ashleigh!!!!
Honestly homemade look gives it character and more value because it’s a one of a kind. I like it a lot, and I love to see you work in the 3D side of the world too.
NGL I didn't have much faith at first but holy moly, you knocked it out of the park! Great job! I just thought for sure a dollar tree clock would be a recipe for disaster 🤣 but you proved you can make art from anything ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love it!
Thanks! I was very skeptical too. I'm just glad it legitimately functioned in the end! I thought between the water in the clay, the paint, the clay dust... that dollar store motor would be kaput. Hahaha.
I live where there's a Dali museum and they sell the clock in the gift shop for twice the amount. I think yours turned out very unique and you have the satisfaction of saying you made that. Making it yourself is a good idea as you have the option to make it and customize it how you want. Foam clay may have been lighter for this project or even drying easily with some flexibility.
@@artwithashleighmonet I'm the same way. I wouldn't know without watching other artists. I learned a lot from nerdecrafter about sculptures. Did you see moriah's moody squirrel sculpture she recently did? Made me think about your art how if she wanted dark and moody she needed to watch your videos.
Hahaha. Of course I watched it. I was super pumped too see her do something dark... Still not quite there, but I find it endearing that she's so cutesy she literally can't do creepy. She tried!
