To those of you asking what dollar store I’m going to: I am from Australia and most of these things are from a shop called “dollars and sense” which is a dollar store chain across Australia and most of our dollar stores here have similar stuff. :)
ẞhenandoah Iowa has a Dollar General store and I do know some others toens that has Dollar general stores in them like Tabor Sidney Clarinda Red Oak Valisica
every other witch: *buying materials* me (a closeted witch): *saving up money and waiting for Halloween so it won't seem weird for me to buy this stuff and to save up enough money*
@@demi-rene1467 ummm if the Terrarium container doesn't have a drain hole I would suggest using plants that don't need much water, so you can just use a mister/spray bottle other than that the only suggestions I can think of are succulents, moss, wild flowers (small depending on the size of your container) if you want a terrarium for looks and not fur the plants benefits you could also grow weeds like the ones in your backyard/Forest
Hey guys, I love this video but a word of caution about insence from the dollar store, at least in America, they are cheaply made and have some bad chemicals in them. They are probably better quality where she got them, as they clearly have better products than we have over here, but just be careful about insence! ☺ I recommend Amazon for bulk insence
This is a very good and valid comment. With incense it's sooo important to buy high quality stuff, since we actually inhale it. Not to mention that someone, somewhere is making it and what we buy will determine both if they'll be working with natural, non toxic resins and essential oils or harmful cocktails of chemicals, and if they'll have a fair wage doing it.
There's that, but they also smell like they came from the dollar store. Like something a guy would use at a cheap motel with a hooker or something. That's the image I get when I think about how those insence smell 🤷🏾♀️
That's because the majority of them rip off their customers, they know they can charge more because people think that where it comes from makes a difference.
20 bux EACH! lol! I hardly get anything at a metaphysical shop anymore specifically because of that. I've found some loverly ladies thru FB n IG that sell some very awesome quality items, both sponsored AND HOMEMADE WITH INTENTION. I get candles made special order a lot! I'm not the best in health and I'm a stay at home mom with little money. Garage sales are EPIC for neat little finds too!
@@brittanyfranklin4977 it actually isnt! a pentagram is most commonly used in satanism (hence the star is pointing down) and a pentacle is actually a positive symbol most commonly used for protection. (hence the star is pointing up!)
@@lxxnbum they mean the same thing.A five pointed star used for worship. What makes them different is which way you turn your star. You can call an upside down star a pentacle or pentagram, same thing if it's up right. They just have different meanings. Same name
pentacle and pentagram can be used interchangeably but mostly objects without a surrounding circle are pentagrams and objects with a surrounding circle are pentacles (like a coin) also the star pointing down represents masculine energy and the star pointing up represents feminine energy :)
You should do a witchy thrifting video! I find my best stuff thrifting. 😍 I’ve found a brass cauldron, large bags of assorted candles, a mortar and pestle (both a marble one and a mini ceramic one) and so many other things!
Bethany Davison I just haven’t been to a thrift store before. The only thrift store I have near my house is called “savers” and it’s like, 20-25 minutes away and there’s almost nobody in it always.
The difference between a pentacle and a pentagram. Is the points on the star of the pentacle stay with in the circle, and the pentacle is associated with money. A pentagram the points extend beyond the circle etc.
i'm seeing a lot of comments from the u.s. about not having stores like this. though it is a bit more expensive (though not much at all), you can go to Five and Below instead for good quality items like these :)
Girl what dollar store are you going to? These items are amazing! All my dollar stores are very anti-witchcraft so they don’t carry a lot of this stuff. /:
Crystal Witch I dunno how it is there but our dollar stores are independently owned, so each one is unique - we have a few bargain stores however which might be similar to your dollar tree and the like :)
I love dollar store finds! (I live in Illinois USA) some stores such as "Dollar Tree" or "Five Below" have great finds. I save my glass jars from products I've already bought. Another place to look are thrift stores.
I’m from South Carolina. Our dollar stores don’t sell anything with pentagrams on them. They can’t even find ouija boards in the stores down here. Spencer’s an earthbound stores in our malls are the only places you can find stuff down here. They are a bit pricey though. There are a maybe one or two little new age stores here privately run but other then that Halloween is the only time you may find witchy items here. I’m smack dab in the middle of the Bible Belt so that should tell you something. I get the eyes of fear when anyone sees my pentagram on my neck. Lol. I should have kept my ass in New York. Thanks for sharing.💫
I think the worst thing is how similar a pentagram is to the Sigil of Baphomet (I actually had to search that up since I didn't know what it was called lol). Causes a lot of confusion, I think, even though their meanings are completely different.
I like the tiny jars for jar spells, they don't take up so much room, and are easy to bury even in potted planters! They also look and just feel more magical to me, like they are precious little gems in themselves!
Good idea!!! In Europe there are some Euro-Stores and Action, the latter has very much Things we can use, jars, bottles, figures, candles and much for drawing and writing at cheap prices
I just got some of my first incense and it smells so g o o d. I want a waterfall burner but that will have to wait. I’m new to Wicca I had no idea what it was before but I love it and want to start actively practicing and getting my basic supplies. I have some crystals and crystal bead bracelets like jade and rose quartz.
Recently, a Five Below, (Which is pretty much like a higher end dollar store where everything is five dollars and under) opened up near me and I’ve found so many amazing items there! They have a lot of incense and a few sage smudge sticks and just a lot of great items for your craft, I’ve found it quite helpful 😅
I love all the wonderful things you found so jealous that your store is better than the one I have here. I did want to just kindly tell you that the circle with the star pointing up is a pentacle; if it's pointing down it's a pentagram
For those wondering: she’s Australian. A good American store would be 5 below. Dollar tree has a lot of the glassware, candles, and sometimes artwork. But you really have to keep an eye out
This video excites me so much, I love dollar stores they always have so many things available at a cheap price, especially stuff that can be used in the craft or other practices. ^^
@@thatfruitygowrl oh I haven't seen them in years! I'm sorry! Definitely take a look on Amazon though, they have ones that will actually hold candles that look like that.
Wow, I have never looked at the dollar store with these kind of treasures... where are you from? Definitely a better area for dollar stores than mine! For Christmas I’m going to have a dollar store day, and look all over for this kind of lovely trinkets! You’re smart to not use the essential Oils, they could be synthetic, which is a very bad thing to use...make sure to check ingredients in the incense as well just in case they have chemicals in them. I buy nag champa incense at Indian markets for very, very inexpensive. They burn beautifully and let off fragrance even when not lit, so my candle/incense/treasure cabinet smells divine when I open the door!
Dollar stores are awesome, what a great opportunity to compare them worldwide. In France we have one called Action, which has some great stuff. The witchy/spiritual items are sold as home decor, so there are no weird looks.
Hi, I am just a baby witch and I have been looking for advice for a few things I need for the witch stuff. And this video has helped a lot! I am looking forward to growing my collection!! :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe it's a pentacle not a pentagram. I once saw in a witchy tiktok video of a witch explaining the difference between the two. "Circle 🔵 = pentacle"
Over in the USA it’s called Dollar General and we also have some stores which have some very cute things for only 1 dollar everything in the store. Oh lest I forget we in the US also have a store called The Family Store which I get many of my witchy type things. Hope this helps well at least the people in the US. If you know someone in the States they could buy you supplies and send them to you probably for less than you can purchase them. I am very lucky we have just had a Store sorry I’ve only been there once however I was in heaven because they had so much stuff, candles, incense, statues. Water fountains it was awe some. May be I will take some pictures when I go back because I will I’m low on Candles. So I hope this helps thanks for your sharing your awesome finds. 🧚♂️🧚♂️🧚♂️
Did anyone in the comments not look at the prices during the video and notice that not everything was a dollar... that's not a true dollar store that's like a family dollar or a dollar general. But still that is very cool on what you did find that store of yours, so bravo on that good haul!
Most dollar store are owned by chinese people in my country (ecuador). They are either independant or have a trademark. These items are usually found in those dollar stores. I'm surprised other countries don't have these sort of things 😅
Dollar Tree in more upscale neighborhoods tend to have a better selection of items. I’ve had to drive out of my way to find similar items as to those mentioned in this video, but it’s definitely worth shopping around in dollar stores in neighborhoods outside of your own (IMO 🤷🏽♀️✨).
If anyone lives in Idaho, there is a really good witchy shop called Enchantments in Pocatello old town and near the same street there is a zero waste shop called Salt and Honey. I highly recommend both shops!
I know she said the dollar store but here in America, we have Hobby Lobby they have the little bottles for a dollar or so. Just keep your eyes open. Even in $1 tree take time and look around. Ty for tbe comment on incense. Very true!
Honey this is AMAZING! WERE DO U LIVE??!!! your blessed because here in San Francisco California in the USA u DO NOT find things this cheap anywhere! Blessed be love!
