Hi everyone, these are 2 storage baskets that can be used pretty much in any room. Perfect for this summer season. This continues the series of Boho/Coastal DIYs. More to come... ♥♥♥♥

3 hats (Dollar Tree)
Plaster Chalk Paint (Walmart)
masking tape (Dollar Tree)
-fix-all adhesive (Dollar Tree)
or E6000
box cutter
glue gun w/ glue sticks (you'll need lots)

12 bundles nautical rope (for basket) (Dollar Tree)

This was inspiring and original. I prefer functional decor. I don’t have the space to store or inclination to dust a bunch of decorations. The thimble on the finger #genius.

Just a thought to make the join between the two bins a little stronger; wrap some masking tape or duct tape around them. The join will be stronger and the transition would be easier to wind the rope or ribbon on. A very nice project!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I've been wanting to have a rope wrapped container tall enough for my umbrellas, and didn't know how to to create one. Your designs are beautiful and functional. I purchased silicone thimbles to stop burning my fingers; I'm so "un-handy" , I place them on all of my fingers when I use my glue gun 😄😄 I'm now a subscriber. Once again, thank you.

actually better than a real basket, in terms of holding shape and also if the inside gets messy by accident, you can wipe it clean. I'm going to make some just plain, one half, and have some fabulous looking little trash bins for a few rooms. Going to pain the inside, but I usually use a plastic liner. BUT HOW CUTE, and original for a little trash bin, in nicer looking rooms!

Great tip at the beginning for cutting round plastic containers cause everyone makes it look so simple but it's a VERY tedious (and dangerous) step and mine rarely turns out right. Also, usually I sand around the edges with sandpaper cause if I start cutting it like you did, it becomes uneven, lol. Thanks a bunch! :)

I've not been a fan of most of the DT basjet/raffia DIYs ive seen on YT. They tend to look cheap and frankly like a cheap Dollar Tree plastic wannabe but never will be. Butttt, these are really very nice and I must say quite well made. Good job.

Nice ideas! I noticed you were wearing the dollar tree silicone fingertip protector. I have those because I'm always burning my fingers with hot glue. They work great!

A good thing I read the comments. I didn't know there was such a thing as a fingertip protector. Burned my finger 4 times yesterday, went to bed with a plastic icecube against my finger. I sure can use them.

The baskets, put together, are a little over 18”. Diy #1 is going to big a bit smaller since I cut the top off. I hope this helped. 😊❤️❤️❤️
