The fact that you can look at all of these random items and come up with something as creative as this blows me away! I would never have thought to cut those things in half and put them together to make a smaller one.
Used 12 to start a display case for kids Beanie Babies- great for stuffed animals, etc. great for dorm rooms. No glue, just clear zip ties. Can always add to it as their collections grow.
Hello loves! Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and well wished. If you're having trouble finding the crates, here's the number at the bottom of the barcode:51596 71044. Feel free to head over to my IG@PeeBeeNJay. I've posted the actual photo of the label. ***Dollar Tree crates are MINI crates. They can hold a descent amount of stuff, but if you need a lot of storage, you can always try these DIY's with full sized crates (just ask certain stores and most will donate what they don't use). Thanks again for all the love
Jay Munee DIY Wow this is super pretty, I can't get over how inexpensive it is, and I'm impressed with your craftiness!! Thanks for the fabulous idea! 😘 Xoxoxox
i just moved into a place and after 60 years of life i find i've got many more treasures than i have space. this project will really really help me keep all my stuff out and not hidden away in boxes in the back of my closet. thanks!!!!!
How brilliant is this. Super idea for many reasons, and rooms, dorms, teens, kids, sewing room, craft storage, laundry, garage and outdoor rooms planters, etc.... Thank you for sharing. Just super job.
WOW.. I am IMPRESSED. I have a jumbled up craft room that needs HELP and I do think that some of these will help put things in better shape. Thanks for sharing!
I found your channel at the perfect time! I'm a Dollar Tree fanatic and moving to a new place. Being in dire need of shelving, your DIY's are a great help financially & take the stress out of storage solutions.
WOW......I'm so doing this. I have so many crates. I made a shoe organizer for my kids closet but never thought to go further to create something like this, nice. Thanks for sharing, God bless you.
I love this idea! I was going to go get this cube organizer for like $70, this is so much cheaper and easier to use. I need the bigger mild crates, but still, this is going to be so much cheaper and easier to use. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow! So easy and what an affordable way to make storage. I am considering making this to store all of my yarn. I might even build one for my classroom.
+Brittany Greve thanks Brittany ❤❤ I like that idea too. I just wouldn't use the DT contact paper since they don't have many options. Maybe a pretty one from amazon 😍😍 Thanks for watching
I have just been browsing and finally watched this video of yours and I have got to say that you are my inspiration, why? Well, I have looking for ways to see I can afford a dresser "but" I am going to the Dollar Tree store. Thank you so much for this idea.
I love, love, love, this video!! What I hate; is that it is 2:00 am., In the morning and Dollar Tree, is closed!! I'm going there later today! Thanks for posting!! ❤👏❤
Stumbled across a video on Pinterest. All I've got to say is once I watched, I was hooked!! I've watched several of your videos multiple times. I'm redecorating my daughter's room, and these are just perfect! I did make a trip out to one of my local DT, and they didn't have any available unfortunately. Definitely will be looking at the other one as soon as I get a chance ❤
You are very creative. Keep up the good work. I'm using this idea with the regular sized crates for my closet. I have the perfect spot for one tower. I also never would have thought to cut the bins to fit the space. Just amazing!
+Lynette Mujica thanks so much ❤ I was thinking of making a larger one for all my hair stuff(soooo much stuff). Hope yours turns out great. Thanks for watching Lynette 😊
Wow! This is incredible! I never usually feel an urge to do DIY's but this one is amazing. I do collect pop figures and right now there are sitting in the floor! Thank you.
+Kiralyn Shealy Awesome! Thank you Kiralyn. It's honestly the perfect size for displaying them. I've been tempted to make my own character! I saw someone make a Bob Ross one and it was probably the greatest DIY ever 😂😂
Ive been looking for one that i could make for my sons wide arrange of toys...cars, trains, blocks, super heros..etc. Everything has a bin and can get disorganized if you dont have the proper shelf. I think this would work but since prices went up at the dollar tree maybe I should buy the slightly bigger ones at Walmart and do the same thing. Thanks for the inspiration👍
I love this! I would never have thought about it and I especially love you cutting the cube drawers in half! BRILLIANT!!! I'm going to do this in my husbands office, oh my, it'll be PERFECT!!!
I was pricing out a storage unit just like this for my kids room at a price of $150.00 each. ($300.00 two kids) not any more! Making this this weekend YASSSSSS! Thank you!
+kirstinlov86 yaaaaaas girl! Save the money!! I did the same. I really wanted a place to keep all my figurines but wasn't trying to spend a ton or gets a big, bulky piece of furniture. Thanks for watching Kristin ❤
Hi Jay. I've been looking for a hutch for a large desk I have which is overcrowded but it's a nice size for crafting and my cricut but when I was pricing the hutch, it cost more than the desk!!! So I'm happy I watched some of your crate diy videos today because I got a lot of inspiration for my diy desk hutch. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thank you for sharing; Another idea watching yours and another ladie's I saw that if i build two of these together I can organize better my craft area. Thanks for the ideas!
Total cost $35. Its a good diy done, but for $35 you can buy an already built much studier shelving unit. Walmart sells bookshelves for $27 dollars that have five shelves and are really tall. That’s a much better value. You can also get a closet maid on clearance for around $20-$30. These are a way better bang for your buck as they are WAY more sturdy and they look way nicer. Especially if you’ve got little one in your house, you want a more sturdy piece of furniture. I’d just say, if you like this specific look, go for it, but if your trying to get a good deal for your money, there are way better options for you.
I LOVE this video. I'm pretty sure I've watched it like 10 times since I discovered it last week. Also, I have searched at least 4 dollar stores and I don't think they carry these anymore! Even on their website.. In case anyone is wondering... Home Depot sells mini crates that are similar at $1.48 and I'm going to pick some up. Clothing + book shelf!
This is perfect! I've been trying to find a shelf for my books (I love to read and I'm a college student), but most of the ones Ive been able to find are just too expensive. And this will be perfect, I can even play with it a little and make it my own! THANK YOU! JUST WHAT I NEED!!!
Genius!!! I love how you made everything purely of DT materials. I love colors, so I would have kept the crates as they were. Spray painting it made it look so glam though! I also like that you adjusted the sizes of the fabric bins. If I could give this 2 thumbs up I would! Keep sharing your creativity girl. It's truly amazing. TFW, hugs ~ Josie :)
