Your idea for the cardboard wackiness fantastic. It finishes off the project nicely and gives the back an even surface. It also gives more strength as you mentioned to the item and I believe it can endure longer as a decorative item in the home or where ever it will be used. Thanks for your creativity on another great outcome.
The windmill looks great! Mounting it on cardboard is definitely better than popsicle sticks . I have all of these items so this.is going on my list of DIYs to make. Tfs! 🏜
Glad to collab with you. New subscriber here. Love the whole thing. Love how you put it together, how you painted it. And that super cute windmill!! tfs
It was fun to join the challenge with you as well. Thanks for subbing! I'm glad you enjoyed my project. I watched your video and subscribed to your channel as well.
Hi Chantal this turned out great and very pretty great job 👍 TFS Happy Saturday to you 🌸 stay safe and well 🌸 God Bless you and your family 🌸 have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter 🐣🐇🐥🐰🐤
This piece turned out beautiful. You are so good at telling every step how to make it. I love windmills. Love the barn door. Thanks for sharing this beautiful diy. Happy Easter
Yay! If you make one be sure to take a picture of yours and share it with me on Facebook or Instagram and don't forget to tag me. I would love to see it! Thank you so much for watching.
I love it! I think I might actually have everything here to try it myself. You did an excellent job showing and explaining how you did it. Thanks for sharing the struggles too.
If you make one Irene, I would love to see a picture. You can post it on my Lovin' Life's Journey Facebook page or on Instagram and tag me. Thanks so much for watching!
You did such an excellent job! I really like this. I sure hope my Dollar Tree gets those windmills. It is such a neat piece. I hope to be able to make one of these. Yours is just as nice as the original. I hope you have a good weekend and a very HAPPY EASTER! 😊✝️
Thank you so much Sharon! Yes, the windmills are great. I was so excited when I found them. I hope you will be able to find some too. Enjoy your weekend and have a blessed Easter!
Iv seen alot of windmill dyi s But this one is my very fav.. Ill have to try with painter sticks because i dont have the signs . But im sure ill make it somewhat like yours .... ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡◇
Thank you so much! I thought about using painter sticks but I didn't have enough so I used the signs. I'm sure yours will turn out great! Thank you so much for watching.
Have you ever used poster board as opposed to the wooden sticks on the back Chantel? I don't know what it is about windmills, but I have always liked them, really like what you did here! 👍
I haven't used poster board but I think it would be too flimsy. You need something with some stability to keep the signs from bending at the seams. It might work ok if you actually glue the signs together on the edges where they meet too. Thanks for watching and have a blessed Easter!
This has to be one of my favorite DIYs! And I actually have every single one of these supplies so I’m definitely making this tomorrow after work. Love it! I’m just wondering if it’s possible to leave off the Welcome part of the windmill...not sure if it’d look right but I might try that.
I am a little behind on responding to comments so I apologize that I didn't answer your question sooner. If you haven't made yours yet, I think you could easily leave off the welcome sign and may just add some more dowels for some more detail. Thanks so much for watching!
Love your DIY tutorial and thanks for sharing the end result with us! Thumbs up and you have a new subbie here! Hope you find time to check out my DIY for Heidi Sonboul's challenge;)
