I really like your tutorial. You are very smart. I am so glad you made it about the materials and your process and not about you. Your instructions were spot on. So thankful for no song and dance. It was totally about making that beautiful seat without having to go into debt or needing a fully equipped wood working shop. So glad I didn’t have to hear about your family your bills or your health. It is a true tutorial and not another look at me vanity demonstration. I wish all diy tutorials were just like this one. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Girl you are a LIFESAVER. This is the clearest and easiest to follow YT tutorial I ever came across. I’m so excited to try this and I feel confident I’ll actually succeed because you took time to explain every step very clearly! And also clearly listed out each and every item you used & wear you got it! Tysm! Those benches turned out super cute btw totally Pinterest worthy 💕💕
Hi Annika, new subscriber here. My daughter found your short and sent it to me. Then she found your channel. This is awesome. That originally price is ridiculous. You were so clever to figure this out. My granddaughter is also Anika...just one 'n' tho. Her mom is my youngest daughter and she had been a fan of Pippi Longstocking and loved her friend Annika's name and always said if she had a daughter she would name her Anika. And she did! I am going to send your diy to her. Thank you for sharing your ingenuity. ❤️ God Bless! 🙏🥰
I have a suggestion. Before you fasten that one piece to the inside of the stool, sew two seams where the fabric gets shoved into the corner. Just fold the fabric and sew a line (2 lines) on the wrong side of the fabric. Maybe you don't have a sewing machine though?
This does cost more than 30 dollars btw, I went and bought all of the items today and am working on it right now, it was about 40 for the fabric alone, I know she used a blanket she already had and that was probably why it was cheaper but the wood wasn't cheap either. If you were wondering I also bought all of my items from home Depot, Joann's fabric, dollar tree just like she did. Just wanted to let some people know that wanted to do this, It was about 70 dollars total, but would have been more if joann's didn't have a 40% off on fabric right now. Still an okay price for a diy project that looks very nice.
Stores don't charge the same price in every store, and the price of wood changes quite often. So it cost her $30, could cost some else 0 if they have these laying around from another project, cost someone else $25. But even $70 is 17% of the original price.
I made it not long after she posted it, now Amazon and others have the same looking ottomans for pretty cheap, almost what I spent on making mine. The wood isn't anything crazy either, from what I remember it was "cheaper wood", but after you buy the fabric, if you want cheaper fabric don't goto Joann's and I happened to have an electric staple gun my dad let me borrow.... All in all it's not a cheap project,if you can make it cheap id love it see it! I love diy projects@@soufwesthoustontx
Where have been all my life? Your designs are clean and simple; your workwomanship is fine. And your instructions are clear and easy to understand! You are head and shoulders better at this than 90% of utubers.More of this please!
WoW you are amazing! An absolute creative genius! This is the first video I’ve ever watched from this channel but found it after watching the shorts version. Instantly fell in love with with your vision and was truly amazed by the final product so I had follow the link here to see the full tutorial. I have 2 daughters ages 17 & 15 that I plan to make this piece for but in different fabrics to match their tastes. Cannot wait to get started so I can surprise each of them! Thank you so very much for sharing this spot on tutorial. Excited to now see your other creations! ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦 AKA your newest subscriber
Eu estava procurando por algo nesse estilo e estou muito feliz por ter encontrado. O vídeo foi muito detalhado e ficou fácil até mesmo para quem (assim como eu) não é fluente em inglês compreender. Thank you!
I really want to compliment you! You give a second life to old furniture and other pieces! Your are so creative and talented and with what you are doing you also contribute to more sustainability in this world. Your skills should be taught in schools. Congrats! ❤
WOW!! Amazing!! That is REALLY cool that you came up with this! And how cute is it! I love diy-ing! And sometimes you can do it with recycled items you have just lying around! So convenient and fun! 😁❤
You SAW one, not SEEN one. Shame on you. Moving on ...... wouldn't it be a hoot if you could cut the royal blue commercially made bench apart, only to find pool noodles. 😄
