What a beautiful junk journal. The creativity shown by each who joined this challenge is amazing, with each journal having something to look at and say WOW! With yours I had many Wow moments. Thanks for sharing.
i find this way better then the fancier made products because you can actually journal in this, plus its beautiful and practical, never mind beautiful its gorgeous , its the best and i have made these before and seen so many, i love this....
Julie, Yours is just beautiful! You got so creative! The stickers especially are a pretty touch and I love the gold mesh ribbon all throughout! I love watching your videos, you have become so comfortable in front the camera! Love your channel! Happy New Year! Sandy
Thank you Sandy!!! I loved the mesh ribbon too and couldnt find another roll at any of the dollar trees... hopefully next year... Being in front of the camera and just making and talking has gotten easier... of course part of that is cause you only see my hands lol... Happy new year!!! *julie...
My favorite page was the ornaments inspired by CVS. I love how you used everything, including the packaging. It's so ingenuous and creative. Very special!
Love the journal ! You are so creative . Every page is absolutely beautiful . Thanks for sharing your methods and tricks love the way you explain what & how you did on every page . Blessings & hugs
You girl amaze me! This is beyond beautiful. Very Christmassy. My favorite part is the cover and the Christmas balls randomly hung. Love everything you do. Ty for sharing Hon
Just found your Dollar Tree junk journal challenge from 2017 and loved it! Such creative use of all your materials! The tissue paper was fabulous, as were the beautiful stickers. So nicely done--the poinsettia on the cover is very elegant. You've heard it said that you can't judge a book by its cover, but your jj is clearly the exception to the rule!! The whole journal inside is as grand as the outside! TFS!
So creative! Great job on the challenge. Great tissue paper, worked very well. Really like how the clear bags worked but also just like how there is so much variety in the tucks, flaps, etc.
Thank you Tracy I am so glad you liked it.... that tissue is awesome and worked so great... Im glad you noticed all the tucks and flaps... ty again *julie...
Very nice! I got a lot of ideas from this. I love how the tissue paper stuck to the inside covers. I will try that with the Tim Holtz tissue that I haven't used yet. I'm very new to junk journals. Have a wonderful Wednesday! ~Liz~
You'd never guess it was a dollar tree junk journal. Absolutely beautiful. Very well thought out and placed embellishments!! I have been to 2 different Dollar Trees and haven't found those boxes with the tall sides or the poinsettia bags yet! I found other boxes that are ok, but I'd love those for the tags. and the bags are for another idea. The first hadn't even put out most of their Christmas yet, so I am going there again tomorrow. Yep 3 trips to Dollar Tree but I am making 3 junk journals. I'm not really doing the challenge, but I'll be under $15 for each journal I am sure. My favorite things... 1) the ornament page just like you said, simple and stunning; 2)the tissue folded pocket; 3) tissue covered bookpage---sooo pretty! I'm so thankful for you sharing your journal and how you did things. I'm going to remember the tip about those bell tags!
I love the way it turned out. The stickers and the decorative items are so pretty esp w/ the gold. I think my favorite thing is the page with the stickers at the top, inpspired by what you saw at CVS.
This is a beautiful journal! I really like the way you sewed the sides of the pointsettia treat bags and how you used the gold ribbon throughout. Great ideas and so much creativity! New subscriber; looking forward to watching your other videos. Thanks for sharing all of the details and explaining how you created everything 😊
I loved seeing your book! It looks fabulous how you used all the products. I know it is a simple thing, but one of my favorite things was your Dear Santa tag. :)
OMG. I've been watching December Daily journals for a couple of days now as I work (play) on some journals of my own. While I have seen some wonderful ones, yours is the most creative and most inspiring I've seen. I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" many of your ideas! Most of my JJ supplies come from thrift stores or Dollar stores, and after watching this video I'm amazed at how wonderful a journal can be using inexpensive items. I've learned a lot from watching this! And I just subscribed. TYFS
JournalJourneys51 thank you. It was so much fun to make. And yes please use the ideas. That’s why I do videos to pass on the ideas!!! Happy crafting!!! *julie...
Adorable Christmas junk journal. Question about the challenge.... Was there a limit on the number of items you could purchase from the dollar store? I noticed you mention 15? I always love the dollar store holiday items and sometimes purchase these items in hopes of getting creative but then I just get a Crafters block and I'm never able to finish an item
Katherine Haught had to watch to see what you were referring too. This journal was made for a challenge where we only used the 15 items we purchased at the dollar tree. So showing what I had left was so art of showing that you can make a journal for $15 and have items left over. I hope that explains. Cara Brandon and I will be hosting a dollar store Junk journal challenge again this year. Sorry I disappointed you.
