It,s so nice to see these wonderful pictures and in the same time, listen to this wonderful voice...That,s what i,m doing always, when i,m watching a new Dolly,s video, trying to be concentrated into HER voice and into HER face..,cause these two things have the no 1 priority for me and then follows the music...
all I can say is. absolutely awesume, dolly really made this her own, i like it better than the original, great up beat feel to it, makes me want to get up and rejoice, dolly sounds great doing this kind of music, i wish she would record this on a Cd, it would sell big
Dolly no other singers can beat her!!..Shes the best but i like Tina Turner,Cher and Janis Joplin too but Dolly shes the best!!..thanks for the great video!!
She did a little different version of this on her recent world tour. They recorded her London show for a future DVD release. So you'll get to hear a new version of it soon. :)
Neil Diamond's version is way way way better. Dolly just doesn't have the same energy. When I listen to the neil diamond version I close my eyes and I'm there in that tent with Diamond as Brother Love. When I listen to Dolly's version I close my eyes and I'm at a hoedown and it just doesn't work for me. Dolly just can't preach it like Neil can.
Over the years I have come to appreciate covers and remixes knowing that they are specifically NOT the definitive versions. I see how people dislike these other versions, but I appreciate the love that the cover artist has for the original.
