Hello lovelies, today I will be talking about Dolly Parton's favorite beauty products that you can still buy today.
Dolly Parton was born January 19, 1946 and is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music. After achieving success as a songwriter for others, Parton made her album debut in 1967 with Hello; I'm Dolly. With steady success during the remainder of the 1960s (both as a solo artist and with a series of duet albums with Porter Wagoner), her sales and chart peak came during the 1970s and continued into the 1980s.

Dolly Parton was known for wearing the Perfume Mary Kay Intrigue. It was released in 1971 and is now discontinued. It is a light floral and earthy fragrance.

I also heard Dolly went to cosmetology school. This was required in the movie, Steel Magnolias because she played the part of a hairdresser and was styling hair. Has anyone else heard this?

I worked on a movie with her in the late 1980’s and every time wardrobe brought her costumes through the dressing rooms, everyone commented on how lovely they smelled. Her wardrobe lady told us she loved Tea Rose and that’s what it was. Her favorite at the time anyway...Dolly is a super sweet person and even more beautiful in person than on film. Gorgeous peaches and cream complexion!

Yes ! I mean she has worn red lipstick and still does today but she's more known for wearing rosy pinks. Still, I love that myself and Dolly wear the same lipstick, MAC Lady Danger is a classic and a favourite of Rihanna's as well.

Dolly is one of my faves. Known for saying "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap" :) as a kid her play "makeup" was burnt matches for eyeliner and crushed berries for lipstick and rouge.

Mary Kay products are still available and selling very well. The Intrigue perfume that Dolly loved, however, is discontinued.

Dolly's makeup line was by Revlon. I had the Cool color set which I ordered over the phone. It came with a tutorial book. Had no idea it was sold in stores. Love these videos!

Jolene is my favorite from Dolly. Such passion in that song. Being from Tennessee myself, we always listened to Dolly growing up. She was dirt poor and thought the wild ladies around town were beautiful,even though they looked and dressed scandalously for the time.

Thank you for this video, Dolly is my favorite! My favorite Dolly song is Jolene and If "it's all wrong, it's all right" I also love Hard candy Christmas and Here you come again. My goodness there are too many to list. I remember her cosmetics line, I never tried it because I was a young teen and the colors were too bold for me at the time. Lady danger is amazing for blondes but being dark with a lot of pink undertones I feel Russian red is a better fit for me Jolene is definitely my favourite Dolly song, did you ever see dumplin on Netflix? Dolly mentioned in a recent interview that her favorite foundation has always been Max Factor Pan Stik, which she has used "all my grown years" (presumably meaning since the mid-1960s, when she would have been in her early 20s). Because Max Factor has apparently discontinued Pan Stik in the US, she said that she stockpiles as much of it as she can find in her shade whenever she is performing in Europe, where it is apparently still available.

I've read direct quotes several times where she says she always sleeps in her makeup because she fears the bus catching on fire, being in a wreck, etc., and having to get off the bus without makeup. I think that is just nasty. And not real.

After seeing your coverage of Dolly Parton, it seems fitting if you included Tammy Faye Bakker. (She remarried and was also know as Tammy Faye Mesner). She was a highly publicized Christian singer and well known for her very flamboyant makeup. There is lots of information about her on the Internet.
