I saw her in person, my mom and I were in the audience and it was so amazing, I am so glad I have that memory. Living in LA definitely had it's advantages.
my generation dont even know about these shows. I find them boring though. Amazing HOW MUCH views it got. Popular series nowadays are watched by 1-4 mil on the air date
It's crazy that the show was deemed somewhat of a failure, when you look at the guestlist, which were many of the great names and legends. The show had great, like the name said, variety. And Dolly was the incandescent center piece of it all. This show may not have been a triumph in the opinion of that time, but to me, it is exactly that.
According to my mother, this was her babysitter for a whole hour. I was two years old but i cant remember! I grew up on Dolly and im watching to see if i can trigger a memory!
I grew up watching her show, I remember absolutely loving her, and her music. I even remember hating Reba because I thought that she was trying to replace Dolly (like anyone EVER COULD!), and hating the fact that my nickname was Reba as a baby because I couldn't say Raven. To this day; despite being a Goth/Metal head/Ballerina... I am still a Dolly fan. Thank you for posting this video. It brought back so many wonderful memories.
are you kidding me? Tv content now is way better then that. I wouldn't watch this stuff even for free. Like how old are the people in this comment section?
The acapella version of "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind" was always my favorite. I would have enjoyed finding that on iTunes as I never forgot it through the years. Thanks for posting this.
Dolly makes sure she keeps all the lolly she's due hence there's very little on RU-vid like her TV series etc. Watching her playing guitar you now know why the guitar has that big curve in it.
