I saw the thumbnail, got interested, and watched the video. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to go to the amusement park with my girlfriend's daughter. Thank you very much 👍 Have a nice weekend 🙋♂🙆♀
I remember and Loved thunder Road. I wish Dollywood would do a few rides like Thunder Road or Blazing Fury for those of us not into the big coasters, but still wanting to have fun on rides.
One ride I remember in Country Fair was the Convoy truck ride! It was one of my favorites, and the Ferris wheel, known as the Wonder Wheel was another favorite!
I remember the flooded mine . It was my favorite . The ride was cool , kinda creepy, but I loved it. I think 1 of the reasons why it was shut down was because of the snake nests. There was u rumor years ago about Dollywood being closed down for a few weeks due to a snake infestation. Allegedly- flooded mine , blazing fury , & the carousel were infested with copper heads. I was really saddened when I heard the flooded mine was closed down.
Thanks for the video. On Google Earth I can see what looks like the remnants of an old ride southeast of the Tennessee Tornado. Does anyone know what that is? I think that is visible on Google Maps as well. One other question, any idea if the Ferris wheel was relocated to some other park?
I remember all but the 1997 ones I was only 2 then but if there are any Dollywood veterans can you help me out they used to have a indoor roller coaster that was dark the whole time at least I think it was there I believe it was in the building that Dollys museum used to be in next to the 4d movie ride in the 2 story building? Please let me know if I’m right and the name so I can see if there is a video of it.
Actually, Blazing Fury was technically not Dollywood's first roller coaster it was actually a wooden wild mouse that was relocated from Cedar Point called Scamper which operated at Dollywood from 1970 to 1972 back when Dollywood was called Goldrush Junction it operated where the Country Fair area currently is.
Thanks for mentioning that, yesss...you are right!! Scamper was there during Goldrush Junction days, but way gone before it became "Dollywood." I think I mentioned Blazing Fury as being the first "indoor coaster" but thanks for clarifying!! I hope Blazing Fury sticks around for a long time!!
They should build a new mountain slide winder. 😢😢😢 I don't care if it took two days to get to the ride. Thunder Road was a great ride, too. 😢😢😢 They should bring back all of the old rides. 😢😢😢😢
