WARNING: Major spoilers for Westworld Season 1
I had a feeling I would love this show before I even knew what the heck it was about.
HBO did not disappoint.
I binge-watched the entire season last week and I became obsessed. The show is beautiful, the acting is outstanding and the theme is so captivating because it explores a side of human beings no one really tries to acknowledge. I couldn't even bring myself to resent some characters for the monstrous, wicked things they did because I just kept asking myself why would I expect them to act any differently if everything is allowed and nothing is frowned upon. It's a game, after all.
It really brings about a reflection on what it means to be human, to be alive, cause apparently 'humanity' is another word for benevolence, but that's really meaningless when machines can be kinder than we are.
Anyways, I made this video about Dolores cause I am absolutely in love with her character and Evan Rachel Wood's portrayal of it. Every little detail had me Shook™ and the ease in which she seemed to be able to force tears out of my eyes jdkaksla Her journey was mesmerizing and I loved watching her path towards finding consciousness. It was really meaningful and masterfully done I am honestly aghast that this show managed to snatch my wig multiple times with so many unexpected many plot twists!!
I just love it and 10/10 would recommend it to everyone who's looking for something to go mad about.
