Dolphins Playing in Bioluminescence - Red Tide Off Newport Beach and Laguna Beach 

Red tide, caused by algal blooms is back in Newport Beach! It's been about 12 years since I have seen this and the videos being captured are incredible. This video by Newport Coastal Adventure, a local whale watching company, was recorded a couple of days ago along the coast from Newport Beach to Laguna Beach. The organisms glow a beautiful blue color when disturbed. Disturbance can be waves crashing, beach sand being throw, boat propellers causing a wake, or sea life dashing through the organisms.
