Your videos are great, informative, well planned, dealing with what is important, well structured and will be even better when you will speak a bit slower as the pace is quite fast. However ı am not a native speaker.
Many thanks, I have been researching "how to check domain names" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Nanmily Domain Demythification - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.
It's good practice to set your DNS to Google's. My Comcast DNS took over a day for my domains to propagate making it a pain to migrate servers. I now set my router's DNS to Google's and my domains fully propagate within 10-20 minutes.
It was all good but one thing you may have noticed during 3:00 to 4:00 when you were explaining com, google and www at that time actually arrow where not aligned as it supposed to be.
Great video! Regarding caching, you can add the new and old server in the CName record and then provide different priorities so all caching updates to the new one? Also for the host name in the CName record, would you keep it as asterisk? It will be great to know what other options are there, or maybe a link to read more about it.
