Thank you. I've thought of trying laser dome to see if it's possible to break 200k. But yeah, I might just let it sit for now. It's a huge time investment.

Thank you🙂 In early battles I'll face ticks. If a hoard of ticks appear towards the end of a battle, I will try to kill all but one or two. And since I use shield dome, I can use left over shield to tank that damage. So I don't actually take any hull damage. In late game a lot of the time stags will be the last remaining enemy. They shoot those melee shots up close so I will aim my shield reflector at them and leave. They will take care of themselves😆. I do all of that so I while the battle is still going I can mine. It gives me a lot of extra mining time.

Congrats on top 10 with laser! Sword does take practice for sure. The spire and stun laser are both good though. For the spire I suggest upgrading all the way with the split projectiles tech route. It helps with killing a lot of the air enemies (which sword is weak at). For stun laser it really gets better with the upgrade that does area affect damage. upgrade it all the way. it helps kill a lot of ticks.

You are right. 24 iron for 2 cobalt is the better choice I think. The problem is it takes me a while to mine out the whole map. I'd have to baby sit the converter to do that and it would delay the mining. Maybe after I mine out the bottom but before I look for the scraps I could use the converter to add to the prestige. This season looks like it will be longer than the others so I might give that a chance.

In the first layer the iron can be found in the same general spots. It will vary, but not by too much. After that the iron is pretty evenly spaced and you can triangulate where the next closest patch is.

Hello! The main thing is to get as much iron as possible so I can buy keeper upgrades. So remembering where you mined your last iron cluster, you can make an educated guess where the nearest one is from there. That method works well. I mine vertically in the brown and green layers because it helps me spot the caves faster. Because the caves are more blocks wider than they are taller, you can spot them faster by mining vertically. At least that is my preference. If I were to make a suggestion to you I would say mining horizontally to begin with might be easier. Later in this video I revert to that as it helps drag huge piles of resources to the center. It just takes practice to be honest. Good luck, I hope it goes well!

@@slipperydome ty for the advice, one last question tho, what specifically do you do to "guesstimate" the iron, and would prospecting meter be a viable upgrade to use?

Kinda hard to say, its more easier to show. But let's say your mining and you go down into the second layer. If you are able to remember the nearby iron clusters you already mined, try to imagine the next cluster evenly spaced away from each of them. It doesn't always work but it works better than plain guessing

Yeah it's a bit annoying to mine those hard blocks. But I'd rather take the time to mine it like that and send the rest for converter or to my multiplier.

I've been pretty successful with auto cannon. But stun laser has the potential to be as good or better. When upgraded all the way it can take out ticks in an instant.

When you dig up a gadget there is an animation that lasts for a few seconds before you can grab the gadget. If you pause, the animation will continue in the pause screen so when you unpause you don't have to wait to pick it up
