In this video I show you how to model two types of domes in revit.
The first dome is just a simple glass dome and the second one is famous Filippo Brunelleschi's dome of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.
Revit Shortcuts:
GR - Grid
RE - Scale
CL - Structural Column
MM - Mirror (pick axis)
UN - Project Units
WA - Wall
CS - Create Similar
RP - Reference Plane
Al - Align
TR - Trim/Extend
AR - Array
CO - Copy
TX - Text
LI - Model Lines
DL - Detail LInes

Me too. I watched other tutorials, they make in place mass and make sphere then change profile and get a rotated half sphere. Then they use curtain wall system then rotate curtain wall dome. I was thinking why there is no dome mass without 90 degree rotation. and here its is. Thanks to him now ı know that there is a dome family already existing

cant find the reference lines in the south elevation or any elevations for that matter. any help on this? Edit 1: i can only get the horizontal (front back) line to show in the west elevation Edit 2: i rotated all the reference lines and got them to show in the west elevation

Hi - After doing the cut with the void, I can't select the void again. Is there a way around that?

First of all thanks alot for your videos they always save me! I am a beginner and I have a question , I am trying to make a slanted dome , as if it is a curve that covers two different levels .. is it possible ? Since the revolve tool can only let me control one half of the dome .. thanks

Probably the simplest way to creat a dome. most of the tutorials I ve seen on youtube goes in place mass wich is a bit complicated

The void refuses to cut through the dome, says it's not cutting though anything. Resolution please?

This is a great tackle class. I’d put Fashanu as the #1 tackle and Fuaga as the #2. The fact that they both haven’t given up a single sack in their entire college career, playing in a significant amount of time, is amazing. Fashanu is the best tackle in the class. Analyst keeps saying that Fuaga can play everywhere on the line because of his size but does he actually have experience playing in other positions in college? If so, this would make him valuable. Analyst also criticize him for his short arm length but if you look at the combine measurements, there’s not a significant difference between his arm length and the other top tackles. He just has the smallest arm length out of the bunch. I’ll put Alt and Fautanu as my 3-4 l, then Latham and Mims as my 5-6.

When I go to load family, I do not have all those options - I have "route analysis" and "structural precast". Structural precast has more subfolders but none of them lead to any of those folders in the video. I even went back several levels of folders to get to the main Autodesk folder and searched through several of the folders and subfolders from there and I cannot find these. Am I in the wrong place? Are there extra things I need to download? Any help is greatly appreciated!
