Hello guys and welcome to the episode 3 of my Portugal series. So after a great stay in the fantastic city of Lisbon, I boarded the train to travel to Portugal’s southmost region the Algarve, known for its Atlantis beaches and Golf Resorts. White washed fishing villages on low cliffs overlooking sandy coves were transformed in the 1960’s and now its central coast from between Lagos and Faro is lined with villas, hotels, bars and restaurants. I boarded the train in Lisboa Entrecampos train station and the journey to Algarve is around 2hours 40 mins covering 265 kms. I arrived at Loule train station and took a short car drive arriving at the Domes Lake Algarve resort a 5* resort having its own private lake.
The Domes Lake Algarve is a fantastic resort offering great service. I stayed in the Tropical Family Retreat and this room category has the facility to connect to another room making it a 2 bedroom unit perfect for families. I also showcased the Absolute Suite and the Sapphire Family Retreat rooms. The Gustatio Restaurant offers a big range of cuisine for dinner and breakfast including Champagne for breakfast. The Raw Gastro Bar provides great cocktails and Champagne. The Apricus bar offers a luxurious escape. Set on a wooden pergola, with a bohemian Med Island vibe, surrounded by water, it gets its name from the Latin word Apricus - full of sunlight. Soak up the luxurious surroundings while you enjoy a cold drink and original snacks all day long under the vibes and sounds of happening DJ sets.
The hotel has a big main swimming pool and also a pool having beach sand making it a unique experience to feel the beach ambience while within the resort.
