It is very easy for people to say "Why do they stay" sometimes because children are involved and they have no money to start anywhere else. Sometimes it is because they are scared to leave because the partner/husband will come after them and the beatings will get worse. Any abuse is wrong whether it is physical, verbal or mental but it is so hard to break the cycle and start again. I am very fortunate I have been married for 40 years to a wonderful caring man and I cannot imagine being scared every time the key is put in the door wondering what mood is he/she in, what sort of night am I going to have or worse still this time I might end up in hospital. Women's Aid do an incredible job but sadly there are not enough places to go round.

This video takes me back when my ex was an abusive man. I loved thru it years ago. It's sad to see that this is still going on today. It's a great video to watch and educate yourself, and others.
