Wow, that super great Stuff. Very good idea and effective product. This is one my next gear to buy for my Tacoma offroad offroad. Thank you for all the info and good video job
fantastic idea!! i came across this video mostly because i wanted to do the same thing but with a water rotopax container. You think it would be possible to use your solution but with printed modified version to fit the water rotopax? Id be a customer if so the 5 gallon tank is just to big for my needs .
A brass barbed reducer coupling or ant standard brass coupler available at any plumbing supply store (in the proper diameter for the tubing) should work fine.
I’ve got the parts and was about to do a similar conversion with the standard cap. Any chance you could post your files to thingverse? If you are interested in making them I’d love to buy a couple.
Hi Ryan, I just sent you an email! Your order from June 6th is waiting on the quick connect fittings. I buy them in bulk and they sometimes take a while to get.
Hi there! Very nice though I do have a few questions. 1. Will the water cap you sell fit either a Scepter 2.5 or a 5 gallon water can? 2. Except for the brass water clunk/weight (which is a separate item), are there any other additional water cap parts needed to make the water cap fully functional with the Dometic pump? Any other connectors needed that are not included? I am ready to purchase as soon as I understand all the parts to buy from you. Thank You!
Hi! The cap should fit both sizes. I’m currently using it on both. We now have clunks on the website and there’s a discount if ordered together. Other than that, if you are using a Dometic faucet everything else is included. If you are using a DIY setup, we also have the make coupling available. Thanks!
@TheWolfMobile ahhh so if one isn't using dometic faucet one would get the make coupling? The dometic is out of my price range which leads me to the question if all the usb faucets have different size fittings to attach ugh. And what does it mean is it safe for drinking water what's the lid made of?
The hose and fitting are water safe. The hose itself is silicon and the fitting is plastic. The cap is printed from ABS and not recommend for drinking water.
@@davidgarcia2691 the material itself is for potable water, ABS is used for water lines. The process is what makes it not for potable water (the 3D printing melts the plastic which can leave chemical traces) and I have to make a disclaimer that it’s not for drinking water.
About to order but I don’t have a Dometic but gonna order a barb quick connect. What size quick connect does Dometic or you’re using for the cap? 1/4? 5/8?
@@TheWolfMobile I couldn’t wait so I order what I needed from your site and picked up the quick connect elsewhere. Hopefully, cap ships soon. Would love to have it before my upcoming trip.
