A VERY CRITICAL Question..!!!. *Did you consider a brand new stock (Paper) Air filter for the test ??* If Not then there is no difference in the end results. Because the BMC Air Filter is Unused, and stock filter is used (already used and blocked partially).
There is a power loss of 3% ( for chain drive ) when power is delivered from crank to rear wheel. So bajaj quotes 35bhp at crank and you get 35.5 ar rear wheel itself?? It should be less than 35 even in stock. So pls recheck your dyno test.
@@sidharthraghunandanan4394 Noticed. But usually the Dyno tests are run for Checking power at the rear wheel. But yours was checking power at crank. So had a doubt.
actually i have an RS200, and i planned for the free flow air filter, but again the same problem companies doesn't use to make things for bajaj. now we have BMC and K&N Stock replacement, now my question was, does the dominar air filter fit for RS200, and i got my answer through bajaj it self, because RS,AS,NS200 and dominar 400 all have the same stock paper filter from the genuine Bajaj spares. and have same air flow for all the bikes. recently i installed a bigger front sprocket (15T), which increased my cruising speed but decreased my Top speed bcz of power lag of 1.5BHP, but now everything will be fine and all good. thanks for making this video.
Good video bro very informative can I use ur video link on my channel? As I have also installed the bmc air filter and was about to upload the same on coming Monday please let me know.
Can't agree to the Dyno Run results at all, you comparing stock used filter with new bmc filter, I would recommend do a Dynorun with Stock New Filter vs New BMC filter,, again I'm not here to defame any brand,, am just saying to pull the accurate results to help our Ryder's ❤️
Its been almost 500 km since i installed the filter and what i can see is the throttle response is much better. There is only change in sound on higher RPM since its a stock replacement and not a conical. Also one thing i can say i did get marginally better mileage. But i will check few more tanks before i conclude that. ideally in city my mileage was nearly 22 but this time i have got 27.90 But like i said i will check more few tanks fill and then conclude. Overall i am very happy about the filter as the response is different now.
It depends on where you stay I always keep 5000 as target but if I come back from some long ride then I prefer to do it after I come from ride. Yes the k&n kitty will work.
If you are in Bangalore go to Xtorque in Kammanhalli as they can also install there itself probably some amount of installation may be taken but check with them or if you are not in bangalore you can also buy from amazon amzn.to/2K2Eb2e
I'd rather change my air filter from Bajaj air filter 4 times in a year.. rather than spending 5500+1700 for BMC air filter plus washing that filter with special expensive detergents that hardwork is separate 😂🤣 its a BAJAJ Dominar 1 cylinder....not a Suzuki HAYABUSA 4cylinders or BMW S1000rr 4 cylinder .. 😂🤣😂🤣 Who in the world will spend unnecessary bucks just for 1 bhp😂🤣😂.. and i wonder where is he gonna use that 36hp.. on a highway or in the city🤣😂🤣first try using 35bhp completely..
You are right from your perspective as this is subjective and not everyone will have that kind of passion or taste. For some Bajaj dominar is considered as sports bike. There are many who spend on esthetic and some spend on performance the 1 hp helps in throttle response and small upgrades like these help at bigger chunk. By the way 35 hp is on crank and not on wheel. Also to add on it I did get a piggyback ecu to add 2 more hp there and you should ride the bike to feel the smoothness and fun of riding this bike. The complete bhp is already been utilised to max on highways 😁.
It depends on where you stay and where you ride as if there is lot of dust then your will get clogged sooner. I suggest below 5000 km however it depends.
The power and torque gains r only at higher rpm...........that too very little.....I don't think u can feel it. ..., I really appreciate the person for doing Dyno..... My opinion is you cannot see performance in city rides.....on highway marginal
Hi buddy you are right the gains are small being a single cylinder but I wanted a quickshifter so I thought why not spend more on dyno and tune if properly. On road the bike behaves completely different. It has more mid range and pulls way better than stock. You can check my comparison video against stock bike. But I love the quickshifter 😁
@@VijayHansora sir I recently got Powertronic for my Duke 250........now if I put bmc air filter........will it be better to retune my bike...? Or can I just put bmc air filter..... without tuning again.....
@@kal1385 from my perspective I would probably tune it cuz we have more air going inside so chances are you can gain a bit more on this. But that is only possible in dyno.
This device is intended to use the max potential of engine and it is not for mileage increase. But to answer your question there is no positive change in mileage it's neutral.
Ideally there is a oil which come for the filter. Since I go to Xtorque kammanhalli for service they clean and reapply the oil on the filter. If you do it yourself then you have to buy that oil which is applied on the filter
When you install, out of box it has the required oil. When i got my bike serviced in Xtorque they did the cleaning and oil for the filter and installed.
There are no bad effect as such. But for full potential it's better to get BMC filter and tune it on dyno . But with stock map it would be good as well.
Stock filter is around 270 rs. In terms of worth i am assured the bike is breathing better and it is optional accessory which has few perks or its own. So technically it is worth. People may argue that in that amount of money they can get more than 10 sotck filter but the fact is that even at the worse of blockage due to dust this filter may be still better than stock giving me optimum performance. I hope this answers.
There are majorly 2 reason, 1: chain slack where you need to get it tightened whole sitting on bike. 2: the abs kicking in when you hit the rear brake slightly and go over a pothole.
@@Veeranna-fu3qr Please get the chain slack adjusted and it has to be done almost every 300 to 500 km of riding. Ask the mechanic to make sure to adjust the chain only after you are sitting on the bike.
@@thoufeekahamed8290 this is a debate able topic however from my personal experience just the filter did not cause any harm having said that I went off the charts by putting in powertronic ecu and quickshifter.
@@VijayHansora are you sure because i am going for the change in air filter that's why i am confirming it again and again because i don't want any drop on mileage now ...as you already know that mileage of dominar is still low that is why i am asking to you
Changing air filter doesn't drop mileage. Infact you may say a very marginal increase as the fuel will be burning more better. Having said that the moment you get the filter if don't start ripping. Also note that you replace you fuel filter when you replace filter. I am happy with the performance.
@@funkyshashank4110 I didn't check the mileage but I don't see any major difference unless I am doing red line to red line all time and the pattern of mileage use is same as earlier
