Obviously the best strat for the first assault is to just sit back in the water with a sniper rifle and never push to the objective. At least, that's what my teamates always seem to think anyway
Well yeah obviously. A fun day at the beach and I can hit some gnarly feeds bro. My teammates get so excited for my picks that they scream "PTFO" at me which I think means "Picked That Fucker Off"!
I sometimes do it for a minute to suppress the snipers, if you have picked off a few they’ll tend to stay in cover from then on. It’s quite useful having a sniper on the beach on that stage, or in the later stages just not all 6 LOL.
I already replied this on another comment, but this is why I have at least one class with smoke grenades. As some one else said, it can be beneficial to have maybe one person sniping just to keep the enemy team from sniping you with impunity, but if half the team is back there I'll smoke the shit out of them!
When rushing the comms room and destroying the equipment just fill the room with smoke, you can still see the red outline around the equipment, makes it so easy to spot and destroy
I haven’t even read the comments below but I bet there will be a ton of them saying “oh I do it so much better” “it’s just common sense” Don’t mind them....awesome tutorial as always Ace! 👍👌
I would really like that tip. I guess they're all going for camo's and don't want to hurt their precious K/D ratio? Otherwise I cannot understand why so many people play the ultimate objective mode and ignore the objective.
I know, that's what I mean. You can go for camo's and challenges in War without hurting your K/D. I think a lot of the spawn snipers must be people who aren't great at sniping but want to go for chrome.
Beast Handler Chunk a smoke grenade right on their ass! They can't snipe if they can't see! The more difficult problem is on defense when people run back to the comms area to just repeatedly build and destroy walls while you're trying to hold the bunkers!
Thanks for the tips! Just a tip for you(not to sound condescending). Im sure all the military guys kinda internally facepalmed a bit but "visual cover" is called concealment and cover is...well cover lol. Just an fyi but love the vids and love the technical aspect you bring to the table. Theres no real perceptual bias here and i love that about your channel.
When you storm the beach If you use undercover "perk" it hides your name so snipers think your a bot and less likely to shoot you. I think it makes it easier for me.
But you also have to blend in with the bots since all the bots look the same. I can normally tell the difference if they use costumes that stand out like a sore thumb, use the riot shield or any other big ass long arm, they dive/go into prone, or they peak around the barriers.
There's no such thing as a perfect strategy that guarantees a win if you're a solo player in War. These tips are all about consistency and maximizing your odds of success.
TheXclusiveAce Btw this wasn't meant as an insult. These tips will help me, but I just hope that I get nore players that will go for the objective. Love your video's by the way Ace. Keep it up!
Denzel yeah, I know the feeling. I can generally determine the outcome of the match by seeing how many players have sniper rifles in the beginning cinematic.
Mona Swanson Do you mean other maps are bad or what? Because London docks, Saint Marie, Flak tower, Ardennes are all excellent maps. Also gibraltar and pointe du hoc are ok. I am assuming carentan is great too becazse I dont have it but I have played chinatown in cod4 and in cod MWR and its good.
Robert Ninčević None of the maps are good. They have no flow. It feels like the maps are made for advanced movement in mind. These maps are not designed for boots on the ground
Another tip that not everyone knows, if you plant a bomb on a buildable thing (barbed wire, walls) if you back up until it's not red, you can shoot it for a faster detonation, you can also shoot teammates bombs as soon as they plant them and they won't get hurt, and if you're suicidal, you can just open fire on your own without moving back.
Another little handy tip is that on the B bunker at the start, you can throw a smoke grenade on the hill just in front of the guns and totally block their sight. Easy enough of a throw to make with a little practice and allows your team mates to push up the beach a lot easier.
When you are destroying those first 2 comms I'd go ahead and slap your suppressor on! Also pushing past your objective like you suggested on the artillery guns is just a good overall tactic in war wherever you can do it. If your pushing the tank in another map, let a like 2 people stay at the tank everyone else should push ahead. Same thing trying to stop the tank. When trying to set or defuse or defend the bomb. Don't behind it and shoot across. Push up to the opposite end of the bomb area. Pretty much keep your body between the objective and your enemy.
Great idea for a video, Ace. It happens too often that the enemy team doesn't get past the beach phase. Of course, I'm not complaining, but I think a lot of people could use the help on what to do on this map.
I have loved the hell out of the LMG FMJ trick but I feel like people have started getting wise to it. As for storming the beach, I've actually had a lot of luck going up the far left, using the boat as cover...as Airborne, you can usually sprint it while the snipers and MGers are focused on the snipers, giving you time to sprint all the way to the sandbar on the left side. Then I blow my way in, dive right into the trench, grab the flamethrower as I run across to the B side, and build the ladder and head in. They'll never expect me to come in at B while that side hasn't been breached.
I do airborne class with a ppsh and saboteur (2 mines). Step 1: Get the flamethrower and go cliffside B bunker Step 2: Place a mine on the main entrance steps and run in to the right Step 3: Roast all the unsuspecting guys on the turret guns Step 4: Place another mine down in the bunker and keep roasting with the flamethrower Works best if you have at least one other person with you, but alone usually you'll be able to capture at least 80% of the bunker by yourself. You can swap out airborne for maxed out expeditionary so you can keep picking up mines.
Useful class that I always use on Neptune is Expiditionary with concussed, you can carry 2 sticky bombs and 2 concussion grenades. Works quite well to flush out guys in the A bunker before you climb the ladder or the other attacking stages. If you attack the B bunker through the middle, there is a window/hole in the bunker and you can throw grenades through there taking out enemy’s camping in the middle of the bunker.
Dunno, I prefer to start off with a sniper and an SMG as secondary, pick off the gunners and snipers on A, then run up to build the ladder on A and blow the 2 doors in the middle to give my team easier access. Also, I feel like A is easy to hold once you have it.
One route that I’ve found useful for the B artillery gun, especially when an enemy is posted up on that left hand side up high ledge, is to run past the middle tank, take out any spawning enemies to the left, then flank around the right back of the gun building across the red out-of-bounds barrier. This lets you shoot the posted up camping enemy in the back, with enough remaining time to get back in the building before you die offsides. Then you’re behind any enemies in the building, who won’t expect you to come in from their spawn side so you can take them off guard.
i do exactly the same thing as you, but when taking B on the first section, grab the flamethrower. you can get a triple or quad feed if you can get in the side door. then you can pretty much take the bunker by yourself because the flamethrower is so powerful. also, the undercover basic training will save your life. on defense i run lookout because you can sit on a turret and everyone's name pops up so you can distinguish who is AI and who is an actual player. so running undercover will counter the lookout basic training and get you off the beach quickly.
On the coms section i find it best to use your suppressor because theyll be clueless that youre blowing things up and i can normally get the top 2 from above the room and then hop down into the room and blow up the other 2 hard ones before they realize where i am
Great tips. I would recommend using something with a bayonet on it tho. You wouldn't believe how many times that has saved the game for me. The charge is the perfect thing to get people that are trying to come around and defuse the bombs.
Attacking on Neptune is getting to be the toughest of the war maps if you're playing against a decent team. We have the same play style, so I've been doing this since day 1. I'm still working on coming up with new strategies, and loadouts to overcome the machine gun bunkers on the beach, which actually makes this game much more playable, and fun. One good sniper can help, if you see a teammate sniping, and you're sniping as well, then change your loadout, let him snipe, and rush the bunker.
you can shoot the two comms equipments through the little hatch on the front door, and its the one in the little room and also the back right which are quite hard to destroy normally
Best class set up for any war mode is expeditionary division for the grenade and a piece of tactical. Use hunker for your basic training so grenades aren’t a big deal. Then whatever gun you wanna rock. Works awesome!
At 2:12 if you have expeditionary with level 3 which makes you throw equipment further you can go next to the tank by its turret and toss a smoke at the B bunker on the little ledge in front of the mgs and that smoke will make them blind
I love this map. I would say stay on the turrets in B for as long as possible. Even if you have to leave and defend, immediately get back on the B turrets! With enough snipers on A you'll win. I. Also like to push forward if we lose a bunker. Thin them out before they get to the Frontline .
When you're destroying the coms equipment you can go to the middle brick wall and look thru the peep hole on it and look to the right, youl be able to see one of those radios and take it out from outside the building
When attacking on operation Neptune, I like to snipe the peekers on A and push up there with some smoke. I barely use a sniper on the other phases except sometimes on the last one.
Awesome vid Ace, I play a ton of war but will definitely try a few of the little tricks in this video. Especially destroying the radio room things with an lmg. I find the B artillery gun a pain in the ass to destroy, unless I've got at least 1 other half decent team-mate. ie, one that doesn't just camp back with a sniper rifle 😂
Nice one ace i love a lewis on this acog scope and fmj take out snipers and machine gunners from spawn to help our team to push into A base then i go for B base never knew you could shoot that far through the barricades. Will do that next time
3rd stage is nightmare for Defenders! Attackers have great sniping spots, rebuilding barbwire is almost imposible. As defender, if your team loses beach stage, you're screwed :) But there is also no problem to get 20 kill streak (27 is my record) in B tower turret (middle one). Just watch your map and symbol. If it changes to yellow, grab shotgun and wait. A tower turrets are useless. Actually there my favorite spots (when Im attacking as sniper 😂)
AFAIK, the only comms you can't hit with an LMG and FMJ is that one in the back corner, by the ladder. To hit the ones in the little room, you just have to fire from the truck by the other door.
I always run to the left right away. You can usually make it to the fence before they get settled in... Ppl make the mistake of hanging back with snipers and get pinned down or don't ptfo.
Hey Ace nice vid. Are you enjoying the maps in this Cod? Personally I am not. There are also only 9 in the game which is shocking really. Starts to get repetitive.
