That's a pretty decent sounding pipe, I've been looking for an Arrow pipe for my 14 DR650 but I think they no longer make them, I had one on my 99 XT600 and it was the best sounding bike I've ever heard! some brands of pipes for the DR sound like crap but now I'm considering the Dominator, how do you like the quality? the Arrow is the best money can buy I might even have one modified to fit the DR.
Did you have to modify the mid pipe at all? I was watching another review and noticed the muffler stuck out a lot further than the stock one. I prefer the shorter look you have. That's a killer DR by the way.
It has about 20k miles, but I dont know if it's true. I think that sounds it produces is normal, because it runs fine, it doesnt "eat" oil, there is no smoke, and fuel mileage is good :) cheers! :)
Normal, especially if you have a skid plate installed. I rebuilt my engine (got carried away fixing the base gasket oil leak) and it still makes that noise. It makes me uneasy as well, lol.
I really don’t remember. The stock muffler, heavy or not, it comes from the Suzuki’s manufacture. I do trust their engineering. But this is my idea. Someone might won’t like and have to change it..
@@frankfrank9582 Trust their engineering but not blindfoldly...Btw if you look online you will see even built a bulletproof bike like this, how many stupid manufacturing issues are present on almost every dr, (some of them : 3rd gear, gear indicator bolts, leaky gaskets, plastic prone to wear oil pump gear (which can ruin your engine), drive shaft oil seal ...). Now about the exhaust and the whole "breathing" part, environmental restrictions put their hand on this motorcycle too
