Season 2 is a huge improvement. They brought in an actual dom consultant. And there is a ton of talk of consent. May gets called out by other dommes in the community for her recklessness
Stopped watching after cis gender white people. Yes this show was stupid at times and not very accurate but it hooked me. Can't it just be a bad tv show without bringing race, sex and gender identity into it?
I absolutely see your point, I think they mention it because apart from the show's disregard for BDSM reality, their is a striking lack of gender/race diversity. These days, people are tired of entirely white + cis shows when there is obviously a greater variety of people out there.
Ashley Paige was well spoken, but the mental gymnastics and words used to marginalize normal people is unbearable in this discourse. Odd but interesting.
