Thanks for your comment. I recorded this video 22 years ago using video8 tape cam and decided to digitize cassette, upscale and enhance it in 2021. Time goes down. Placido was 57 at that performance. Now he is 80...

@@Yarrowinss I'm so glad you decided to digitize your recording, I encourage everyone who has any video and / or audio of him performing to do the same and share it with the world. There's so much of his work that, shamefully, went unrecorded. Just for the preservation of opera history, including his legacy, there's no good reason for that to be true. So, I'm very appreciative. Yes, now he's 80 and even after defeating covid, he's still going strong. I hope the living legend is around for another 80. Plus, we're waiting for his follow-up book to "My First Forty Years." 👍 Thanks again!

I have used relatively new (2020) software Topaz Video Enhance AI ( www.topazlabs.com/video-enhance-ai ) to upscale initial 720x576 interlaced 25fps captured from video-8 tape to 1440p 50 fps progressive (process takes some time even for 3 minutes video on relatively powerfull pc) plus some color correction in AE (this is simple). Sound track was extracted from original record and separately cleaned and equalized in Audacity than multiplexed again with video :)
